A Great Car With One Exception — Made the mistake of buying black but that is my fault - body and interior look good - wheels look sharp - again, something must be done about Civic A/C's - if not my next car will be Subaru or Toyota - that would be a shame!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very reliable, comfortable and economical - I use Mobil 1 synthetic oil and run Continental ExtremeContac tires - average 35-36 MPG on highway - runs strong on long trips on cruise control at 70-75 MPG.

Cons: Air conditioning has been only complaint - have spent $350 recently and problem not solved - cuts on and off - blows weakly when it does work - some reports say this is endemic with Civics and there is talk of a class action lawsuit against Honda America - did not have that problem with previous Hondas - disappointed but not ready to give up on it yet.

Solid Commuter — Honda Civic built as reliable commuter vehicle with great fuel economy. This car has quick handling and a sporty feel. The overall appearance of the car is clean and modern even for a 2008 model. The added navigation makes finding your way a breeze.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sporty feeling for a hybrid, comfortable drive, Honda reliability.

Cons: Rear seats do not fold down because of the hybrid battery location.

Great Car — I love my Civic! I drive it every day to and from work. I love the manual transmission and it keeps it fun even as I get great gas mileage. Price was right too so that's a huge plus. Would certainly buy again.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage and reliability.

Cons: Ride is a little loud and not the best for long road trips.

Best In The Market — There is little one can complain about this car. Is comfortable on front and rear seats. The slight limitation of child seats in the rear still is better than other cars in its class and even others considered to be mid size. Will recommend and buy this car with eyes closed any time.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great Fuel Economy without the expensive hybrid costs, Comfortable, reliable and smooth.

Cons: Access to rear seat thru trunk is a little limited for wider objects.

A Tiger In A House Cats Body — I like everything. Nothing is really bad about it from my point of view. But im a gearhead. The main issue i have personally is that i cant kill my urge to customize it...thats the only way that this car really gets expensive. Yes it takes premium/super unleaded, but it gets good enough MPG that its maybe a $2-$3 difference at fill up. I love it and at this point wouldnt trade it for anything else. It fits me needs and wants to a T and i couldnt ask for better.

Pros: Great car with lots of go.  Like Jeremy Clarkson said about the European Type-R, its like a pensioners terrier, you open the door and its over your shoulder and out the door.  It Has great fuel economy for the power and the sedan (which i have) has great cargo capacity as well as plenty of room for passengers.  The engine is a proven engine, strong, reliable and easy/cheap to maintain, although if you own an Si, chances are your not going to want to take the cheap route to maintenance.  Price for power and versatility and overall fun drive is really good.  Its hard to find a car that hits in all the areas with high marks like this one does.

Cons: None really.  A few issues with the clutch pedal and 3rd gear synchro on the 08 model but those arent a big deal and can generally be fixed or remedied fairly simply and inexpensively.  The only other thing is that this is a cat that isnt for people who have never driven a manual transmission.  They dont come in an automatic trim and can be jerky and touchy for a first standard.  Me having had most of my cars standard anyway, this was no problem. In fact, i welcomed it.

Mr. Dependability — My Civic is a reliable, efficient, and stylish vehicle. With gas prices heading no where but up, this is a great choice. It is also a very dependable and low maintenance vehicle which will easily give you 200,000 miles if just minimally taken care of.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage, very reliable, and good power.

Cons: A little small for families with older kids.

Sorry Gas Pumps — Great car and super on gas - needs a little more room for a family of 4. Drives like a sports car, handles road well. Would have opted for the Civic SI for a more horse power. Great for around town or highway.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 40 miles to the gallon!

Cons: Hard to get in & out of

The Car Is Great For Its Class — Overall i wish the car was a bit more spacious but it is a small class sedan and fits me well. The performance on it is excellent for a naturally aspirated 2.0L VTEC engine. I have owned previous model Sis and this is the most fun because of the VTEC engagement, even for a four door it moves. The brakes on the car work exceptionally well i was able to get 60,000 miles out of the factory pads. I haven't had any major maintenance issues with the car. I did have a small rattle that came from the ECM cover in the engine compartment but putting some insulation tap inside of it stopped the movement.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Agile, quick little car, and it is modestly roomy for a civic.  I am six foot three and I fit well and there is still space for passengers.

Cons: Not as spacious as it could be, some of the interior pieces could be of better quality.  The steering wheel honda emblem looses the chrome finish easily, the shift boot with start to peel and the paint on the shifter trim scratches really easily. The emergency brake handles paint rubs of easily, It wore off in the first 100 miles.

Great Car To Own — My car is a Honda Civic 2.2 CTDI Diesel hatchback 5 door. A model you find in Europe and UK, not sure if it is available in the US and Asia/ME/Australia market. Its a car that is very stylish, has quiet a lot of power/tork, very good handling, can have fun with it but not exactly a VW GTI or BMW. A lot of boot space and leg room for the back passengers. Its a very fuel efficient car, especially on the motorway. For city driving the consumption is a tiny bit to the upper side. For city driving you may want to go for a smaller engine, hybrid or smaller car. It looks best in black, beige and dark silver

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Style, Consumption and Performance

Cons: Rear view is difficult in this car.

Cool Little Go-cart — The Civic Hybrid is an excellent road trip car and comfortable and quiet on the highway. The low center of gravity gives it surprisingly good handling for a car that get's great gas mileage. The car is designed to be a little commuter car so as such it's fine for up to 4 passengers but don't expect much room in the trunk

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: virtually no maintenance needed and gets great milage.

Cons: It's not designed for mountain or hilly driving, it's best suited as a commuter car.
