I Love This Suv... All Four Seasons Worth! — This is a great vehicle. Rain, snow or sunshine, I get the best of all seasons sitting in my Edge Limited... with AWD for the snow, Vistaroof for the sunshine and rain! Kids love borrowing it because they look cool in it too! It cut right through the 18" snowfall we got several times last winter.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very good-looking sporty SUV. Got me through 18" of snow this winter!

Cons: I'm a single mom and right now there are a few things that are needing to be addressed....!

Reliable Transportation With Good Cargo Capacity And Performance. — I initially and still do like the styling and ride height of the vehicle especially with the 20 inch wheels. It has the ability to safely accelerate to highway speeds for merges and passing on two lane roadways. The breaking is good and it required very little other than the usual oil changes and maintenance. I loved the Vista roof and the sun shade which operates with no effort to keep the car cool on those hot summer days. It is easy to enter and exit the vehicle due to the height without being so high that it needs some sort of running board or step device to get in. I purchased the car brand new and it currently has 102,000 Kms on it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great size, cargo capacity and handles well in all weather conditions due to the AWD.  It tows a double axel sized trailer with little or no effort.  It is a sturdy and reliable vehicle.

Cons: The blind spot problem was minimal, but I added aftermarket convex mirrors to the side view mirrors which greatly improved the ability to pass and safely change lanes without fear of cutting off another car.

We Sure Like Our New Edge — The perfect replacement for the Tauruses we've owned (3) We have been wondering what we would buy next since the new Taurus is in name only. The Edge is roomy, comfortable, gets really good fuel mileage and sits up high like the truck!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Handling, Power, Comfort

Cons: Now that its paid for it continues to be reliable, full of power and is influencing my decision for our next pickup truck.  That V6 has incredible horsepower.  Add a couple tubos and it would outrun my hot rod!

Only problems are intermittent with the power lift door.  Now and then it won't latch when closing and rises back up.  Usually just pushing it down to lower and latch solves the problem for weeks.  Other minor agravations are outisde mirrors that don't completely return to driver settings.  If these are the only problems we have then when this one is used up, another will replace it.

Nice Crossover — For a crossover, it's a pretty decent vehicle. Roomy enough for someone of my stature and peppy enough to get with the flow of traffic pretty well. The only drawback I see with is the air conditioning seems to blow weakly. However, that can be counteracted with opening the glove compartment.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Room, performance

Cons: Air Conditioning

Decent vehicle, just not very powerful. The ubiquitous soccer mom car. Good cargo capacity, but lacking in the handling department. Seats were typical Ford seats that wore out on the side facing the door. Ok car, just not for me
