2007 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S AMG 65Review

Expensive — For the modest $125,000 tag on this beast, it's not worth it... the second you drive it off the lot, you'd be lucky to get $75,000 for it. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful, and extremly fast car. At 600 whp before any supercharger upgrades, it's for sure to throw you back in your seat. My opinion.... NOT worth the money. It does have some nice features.... 2 sunroofs, one HUGE one in back, power shades for the rear windows, laminated glass for one of the quietest interiors available, and 4 captains chairs. Both rear power windows can be rolled up and down from either side of the car, and the rear climate control can't be controlled by the driver. You buy this to be driven around in, and not to drive. Pros: Fast as BAWLZ especially for it's size. 6 sets of golf clubs would easily fit in the fully powered trunk. opens and closes with the touch of a button Cons: Not worth the price, doesn't retain value, and any trip to the dealer for repairs is a $1000 minimum ![]() Looking for a Used S-Class in your area?CarGurus has 6,216 nationwide S-Class listings starting at $2,988. |

A Glimpse Into The Future Of Automotive Standards — For $165,000 there is no better way to transport up to 4 people in ultimate luxury, style, and speed. Not to mention the tri-star badge value, all the world over people know that this is the flagship touring sedan since the Autobahn Burners of the Third Reich. There is nothing more you can reasonably ask out of a car that this one doesn't automatically deliver to you! Pros: Perfect Drivetrain, flawless luxury, Touring Standard of Dignitaries all the world over! Cons: Gas mileage could be better 17/24 mpg from a 5.5L Biturbo V12 though isn't bad. |

Return Of The King — After seven years of Taurus like styling, the 'real' Mercedes S-class has returned. It is a solid performer, pumping out nearly as much horsepower as the W140 600 V12 and offering dynamic handling with supple ride. With over 380 hp and nearly 400 lbs ft torque it can easliy keep up with its competitors--all the while returning up to 28 mpg on the highway. I average 23 mpg including in town driving. Technology abounds with Nightvision and rear back up camera and park assist. Pros: Solid performance, Presence / Styling, Power with fuel economy Cons: Size, Still too much plastic (relative to competitors) |

Move Aside 7-series. — I enjoyed driving this vehicle more than the BMW 7-series. The vehicle dosen't cut corners in style, technology, comfort, and world class luxury. I loved this car. However, Like the 7-series, it has an i-drive system which takes some getting use to. Pros: ALOT. Cons: i drive |

The Best Car I Have Owned Is A Mercedes 550 S 2007 — This Mercedes is the most beautiful car ever built. I enjoyed its ride. It is a large car that has a rolling motion instead of up and down. It can corner at 60 miles a hour like a sport car. I will not fish tale, but will take all you can give. I enjoyed getting on the freeway and unleashing all that power and listening to the roar of the engine. I have owned the vehicle since 2008 and it has never been in the shop. I did not experience any repair cost. Since I only drove the car on weeks I was unconcern about gas mileage because, I expected it. On the other hand the side mirrors where too small and necessitated me purchasing cone mirrors. In summation this car can perform, its expensive to maintain, but it is a joy to drive. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: My Mercedes is the most beautiful car ever built. I enjoyed the ride. It is a large car that can corner at 60 miles a hour like its a sport car. It did not fish tale and picked up speed immediately, I enjoyed getting on the freeway since that is the only time I can feel and here my engine roar and for a brief second enjoy that powerful engine The Car moves in traffic effortlessly and I am amazed at how it brakes. You can trust this car with your family Cons: This car is expensive to own and maintain. However I have owned the car since 2008 and I have not had a problem. It has never been broken or caused me any grief I do have mirrors that allow me to see more clearly and make better driving judgements |

Superior Car — This car is top notch, the big daddy of them all, the best of the best in its segment. This car has superior ride, luxury amenities, best looks (debatable but I think it looks the best) over the Lexus LS and the BMW 7 series. The S class is noticeably more expensive but you get what you pay for and you pay to be the one on the top. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Great looks, Superior ride, lots of technology, Cons: expensive, expensive repairs, |
