2007 Fiat Bravo Overview

The 2007 Fiat Bravo, a jazzy compact hatchback that's the Italian carmaker's follow-up to its Brava models, is still available only in the European market.
The Maserati-like stylings of the 2007 Bravo are cool to look at, but the real story is in the engines. The entry-level engine is a fuel-efficient 1.4-liter model that offers 90 horsepower; buyers can upgrade to a 1.4-liter turbocharged T-JET engine: a 120-horsepower or a 150-horsepower version. There's also the option of a bigger, gutsier diesel powerplant: one of two 1.9-liter Multijet turbodiesels, also offering either 120 or 150 horsepower.
Fiat markets the Bravo as if it were selling a work of art; its press release is flowery, poetic, and not all that informative. The pictures tell their own story, though, and it's a compelling one. The Bravo combines functional and sporty elements in a small, lightweight, potentially zippy car. Add in its solid fuel economy and its great use of space, and you have an all-around winner in the family-transportation market.
