Best Damn Truck Out There — I love absolutely everything about my truck. It's got me out of a lot of close calls, but most importantly the safety features. Dual zone climate control is nice. My truck has the 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management. I can't say enough good things about that feature. I get better mileage with the V8 than I ever did with the little quad 4 I had. In BC I was getting pretty good mileage with it, averaging 600km per 3/4 tank of gas. Out here, I can go forever without having to fill up again. Absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend that if you're in the market for a truck, this is THE truck to get!

Pros: Absolutely everything

Cons: that when you do have to fill up the gas tank, it's not cheap

Gm, What Else Is There To Drive! — This truck is awesome in my words. The build quality is excellent, quite to drive on the highway and acres of power when you need it. Can't beat the sound of a V- EIGHT. The milage is good when you drive reasonable 19-20 mpg, I have put on GM performance exhaust and air intake.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

2007 Silverado 1500 — One hell of a truck! It's much more improved over the 2006 model. Strong sturdy truck all around! I can't wait until 2010 to get the 2500 HD Diesel fully loaded down! Hopefully they won't ruin the body like all of the other manufacturers are doing lately! I recommend this truck to everyone who's looking for a full size pick up.

Pros: Great on gas for an 8 cyl., Solid truck all around.

Cons: It has some slight wind noise from the side windows at highway speeds.

Awsome. — I really love my truck, I have had mine for almost a year now and I have had no complaints. OnStar is awsome when you get it, i've locked my keys in my truck on many occasions but they are always happy to help. I have yet to try out its towing features, but I dout i will be let down.

Pros: It has awsome acceleration from a stop and a good reaction time.

Cons: I'm a regular cab which leaves little space behind the seats where as the regular cab in the dodge had more room.

Great Truck —

I have had my Chevy truck for 8 months now. This is my 10th Chevy truck. It was a little scary spending over $30k for a truck, but I am thrilled with it. Guess my only "ding" on the truck is in the interior.it took a little getting used to as I find the front seats a little to low and kind of uncomfortable. My truck has the open console between the seats in front, so you cant store anything close in the front. I wished the lower models had a cover on this arm-rest to hide valuab les.My truck is black on black and the cloth interior seems to be holding up fine. No apparent finish issues or problems with how it was built. In past chevy trucks I have had, I found form and fit of parts to be somewhat lacking, but all those issues seem to be corrected. The power is great, and hauling is no problem. I haul a toy trailer, and a camper with no problems. The tailgate on the lower model trucks does not lock, I think this feature would be usefull to anyone who owns a truck. Take it from someone who has had a couple tailgates stolen, this cheap feature would save a bunch on deductables. The new body style truck has great all around views to drive, and a smooth ride on the highway. Gas mileage..... not so much, I realize I bought a full sized truck, but hoped for more than the 12-13 in town and 14-15 on the highway I am presently getting.

Very Good Truck For The Money! — I use my 07 work truck for everyday driving and to tow a 3000 lb travel trailer. The V6 has plenty of power for most driving, and mileage runs from around 17-22 without the trailer. It drops to 12-14 with the trailer. The ride is smooth and the truck is well built.

Pros: smooth ride, good mileage for a large truck, dependable

My Parents' Truck — I have to admit: when I first saw this truck, I did not like it at all. After driving it, however, I began to come around. The XM radio is pretty awesome as well, and OnStar CAN be a big help. This is also a vehicle I feel very safe in, since we have had an accident in it and have been quite safe.

Pros: On-Star; the comfortable interior; the braking system; the maneuverability

Cons: It sucks a lot of gas; I'm not too fond of the body style.

Really A Muscle Car With A Big Trunk — Hugely improved over the previous body style EXCEPT for the rear brakes: they went back to drums! I can't complain too much though, because the stopping is still excellent although the ABS is a little too overprotective and this can result in longer stopping distances on ice. Don't bother ordering the GM installed command start -- it works from a maximum of about 50 yards.

Pros: Power, handling, looks, engine sound, comfortable seats, bright headlights

Cons: Gas consumption, seat material cleans the lint OFF of the lint-brush, came with XM & OnStar when Sirius and Bluetooth would have been better.

New Vehicle Problems Prevent Me From Giving The Truck Top Marks — my silverado is very impressive but i have a few new vehicle problems. the transmission got stuck in second gear and needed solenoids at 3000 miles. the a/c keeps switching to outside air while driving no matter what and it is annoying to bring in exhaust fumes from other vehicles. the dealer says several complaints but no remedy as gm considers this normal. a letter to gm got me the same responce. this is a normal function of the vehicle according to gm. breathing other peoples exhaust in traffic can't be right..any ideas? a wind noise and rattle from the passenger windsheild post is very annoying at speeds over 65 mph. the noise is worse if it is windy outside. responces are welcomed :)
