Love The Baby Jetts!! — Great car! Be sure to get a good warranty....I broke a couple things that probably would have cost me a lot of money to fix but the platinum warranty I got covers almost everything!!!

Pros: Pretty car, roomy, good gas mileage.

    Cons: none

It Is Sure Fun To Drive! — I enjoy the amount of features that this car boasts for its driver. The Transmission is solid and has six speeds for great top end performance. Its top speed is 130MPH, beat that America with your electronic 100mph limit Well priced for those of us YUPPIES who want a nice car but not a big price tag.

Pros: It is a solid, comfortable, fun, fuel efficient car.

Cons: the 2.5L engine has 150HP on 5 cylinders. I wish it were a little bit more ballsy

Best Sedan Under $23k — Great sedan with excellent build quality. A lot of standard features for the base level model. Handling and steering are excellent for a FWD car. Engine has plenty of torque and adequate horsepower. Manuel transmission features silky smooth shifter and clutch. Interior appointments are top notch and has plenty of room for 5 adults. Trunk is a cavern. Exterior styling could be the cars downside. While the front looks cool and aggressive the rear end looks bland and Toyota Corolla-like. Fuel economy for me is 28mpg over 2.5 years of mixed driving. Overall Best Sedan you can buy under $23,000.

Pros: Great Interior, Manuel Tranny, Fuel-economy, Torquey 5 cylinder

Cons: Bland exterior, little low on horse power

Good Reliable Car With Good Amount Of Torque And Horsepower (wish I Had The Turbo Version Though) — Great car, it is reliable and has more features than a $50,000 car. Great ride and great amount of torque. Has about 150 horse power stock, with leather seats, 6 disk cd changer and many other options. Great car lot of passenger space and a great modding car. Dont need to do much to make it look good.

Pros: Nice looking, not much needed to make it look good, and good torque

Cons: Some interior rattling, but fixable free through dealer and i wish i had the GLI turbo version, and it gets 25 mpg

Pros: Handles like a dream and gets great gas milelage

Cons: I  miss my turbo :(

The Only Woman Who Hasn't Done Me Wrong. — This is the first new car I ever bought. I cut my teeth on '76 and '67 Beetles, so you could say its in my blood. This car is a well rounded beast that takes car of my every need. Roomy, quick, and economic. What's not to love? Check us out at avdubs.org

Pros: Quick 2.0l Turboed motor delivers around 230hp (not stock) but can cruise at 80mph @ 35mpg. Huge trunk. Four doors. Cheap insurance.

Cons: VW is very proud of their parts and charges too much for them.

Was Thinking Of Purchasing This One And Trading The Intrepid For A Vw. — Nice looking car and wanted to go for the diesel version.

Pros: they say its cheap on gas

Cons: not really cheap on gas when you contemplate the higher price you pay at the outset

Great On Fuel But Needs A Bit More Power! — Overall this is a excellent car that I am proud to drive, its great on fuel as well. My TDI is equipped with the executive leather package so I am impressed with the interior as it is too a audi type level. Good handling around corners but slow at take off. Transmission is wonderfully smooth as well just a good fun car to drive.

    Pros: Fuel milage and apperance

Fine Car With A Few Issues — The VW Jetta is a nice car, but even nice cars have problems. This car is easily the best in its class but it's also the most expensive. The price is not the problem. In my opinion the problem is the engine is a little weak and the interior is just a hair too small. Widen the car a couple of inches and add about 30-40 HP and this car would be PERFECT Did I say it gets 48 MPG? Great looks. Smooth ride, wonderful handling. Even the diesel model has that great throaty VW rumble. The trunk is a canyon. You could just about fit another car in there. Great pickup, even for a diesel. Great safety ratings, inadvertantly tested. Cons: Oy, those sightlines. They are awful, partly because of the thickness required for the side curtain airbags. I'm an average height guy. But I have to put the seat so high to see the front of the car, it goes above the lumbar support. Hence, I have to supplement the support with a pillow. Ouch. I dare you not to mix up the turn signal and the cruise control stalks. Could use a bit more legroom. And, it's a VW. No matter how much you save on fuel, you'll end up spending it on parts and service

    Pros: Overall performance
    + Steering and handling
    + Seat comfort and support
    + Ride comfort

    Cons: Performance at higher elevations
    - Engine noise when accelerating
    - Difficult manual seat adjustment
