    Mk 2 Golf Gti16v/mk 5 Golf Gti —

I have a 1990 mk2 golf gti 16v 3 dr in oak green & a 2006 mk5 golf gti 3 dr in silver. Both are in my opinion are very fun cars to drive. I would say although nearly being 20yrs old my mk2 still has the fun factor of an old skool hot hatch & can embrass a lot of modern "hot hatches" that are produced today. Its got character!! In my eyes mk2 Golf GTI's are perhaps 1 of the best hot hatches that was produced at that time that have stood the test of time. I dont see many R5 GT turbos,Pug 205's,Uno Turbos,Astra GTE's,XR3i's/RS Turbos running about these days. Dont get me wrong i do hold respect for these cars as i grew up seeing them appear fresh on the streets in the 80's.. but i just honestly dont see them about today on the roads. Its a shame. As for the Mk 5 Gti.. thats a history maker with good power & out the box handling that to be honest just really digs in!!...lol. Mk2 & Mk5 have gotta be the best Golf GTI's VW have made to date..thats my honest opinion!! Ive had 5 mk2 Golf GTI's 2 of them 8valves & 3 16v's all of them have amazed me & others!!

    Pros: Handling,Pace,Space,Classic Status

    Cons: Petrol,Speed Cameras,Speed Humps & Avoiding those W.T.F potholes...lol

Mkv Volkswagen Gti — She's a riot! You can load it up with furniture saturday, and then take it to the track Sunday, it'll get you over 30MPG if you drive normally as well. Repairs can be a bit costly, but that's no different than most imports, build quality and reliability have been good so far, with only one issue during my warranty period so far. Got to try the DSG transmission atleast once, don't just automatically go for the stick..

    Pros: Handling, Powerband, size, looks.

Cons: Warranty could be longer (100,000 miles), dealers are very good or very bad.

My Gti — It is great to drive very solid and fast enough. Road holding is one of its best features and in it class it has great comfort. It is not a Porches when it comes to performance or a Roles Royse when it comes to comfort but for the price it has the best all round package available.

    Pros: a lot

    Cons: not mush

Probably The Best Bang For The Buck — May be the best combination of performance, style, safety, quality, gas mileage for the price. Semi-automatic DSG is a blast as you flick through the gears with the sterring wheel mounted gear levers. Excellent grip even with the 17 inch wheels and 45 series all-weather performance tires. I can only imagine what it would be like with the optional 18 inch wheels with summer tires. Somehow VW has managed to make the car handle relatively neutral, not easy for a front-drive car. Torque steer is minimal as well. 75 MPH through dead man's curve!

Pros: Performance, rear air bags, fuel economy, design

    Cons: None!

My Gorgeous Car — For a small car, this car is amazing, the power and smooth ride is unparalleled. Handling at any spped is incredible and very economical, except when the turbo kicks in, but it's so worth it for the extra fuel. The only downside to it is the fact that the front cup-holder keeps sticking, but seeing that is the only "sticky point", for $26,000 this car is an absolute bargain. I'll definitely be gettin me another one when the time comes

Pros: Handling, fuel economy, smooth ride, heaps of power

    Cons: Front cup holder

Vw Gti — Fun car. Best FWD hot hatch with a turbo 4 cyl. The build quality is very good. The car performs great and responds excellently to modifications. Car is cheap to own and maintain, but still extremely fun to drive. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good time with these high gas prices.

Pros: Kickass, Fun, Good on gas.

Cons: Few can figure out how to work the front seats

Gti — Love the car but hate the look of the back end!! VW knows how to make a killer car ... love those Germans!! The interior lighting is a killer ... love the blue and red. Can't wait for Audi to adapt the same!!

    Pros: Excellent Quality, Awesome Interiors

Cons: Design of rear end, Same design used for the Rabbit

A Driver, Not A Looker. — Performance - Fast enough to win 1st place STX. (SCCA) Build Quality - Has been more reliable than my Scion tC. Enough said... Appearance - Most people don't like hatches. I love them and I bought the car for me, not them. Deal with it! Cost of Ownership - What can you not like about an engine that can make 280hp and still get 35mpg? Fun Factor - After two years of ownership, she still puts a smile on my face :-) I would recommed this car to someone looking for a sporty ride that doesn't attract attention and does it all in German comfort. A driver, not a looker.

Pros: Engineering, Turbo, Power, Mileage, Safe

Cons: No iPod connector, No factory LSD, A little heavy
