2006 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited 7-PassengerReview

06 Sienna Limited — Great family car, plenty of room and cup holders. The limited model has power side and rear doors, we also have the package with the power-folding rear seats.

Pros: Plenty of space and power

Cons: The front wheel drive model has a lot of torque/power which can be scary in the rain.
Sometimes I wish I had opted for the AWD model but I didn't want the expense of
replacing 4 run-flat tires that the AWD model comes with (no spare tire)

Very Spacious And Practical — Lexus power plant with a V6. Top of line stereo, 7 passenger seating, Grab on hooks for croceries which are awesome. Stow and go seats with one hand operation.

Pros: TOYOTA put all thought into making this a family vehicle

Cons: Don't know.

Great Transport But Make Sure The Door Cables Aren't Frayed.. — On the downside, 2004-2010 Siennas have issues with the power sliding doors getting jammed open or not being able to either open or close because of issues with the cable and motor system. A replacement of the cables or motors could run over $4000. The Toyota extended warranty covers only the cables, not the motors. In my case the dealership misdiagnosed the problem or refuse to honor the warranty by claiming it was caused by the motors. Toyota corporate was of no help saying that they were fully confident in the competence of all their dealerships. Eventually the cable snapped and I took it to a more competent dealer who fixed it under warranty. So I would recommend avoiding the 2004-2010 Siennas unless the door cables and motors were recently replaced

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Comfortable, smooth ride. Power sliding doors and trunk make travel easy.

Cons: Problem with cables on sliding doors. Got the  runaround on replacing them, but eventually Toyota took care of the issue. Luckily, the extended warranty for the problem still covered it, but if not...I might be buying a Honda
