Standard features on the 2.0T include leather upholstery, a CD audio system, keyless entry, an eight-way power driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control and 16-inch alloy wheels. All 9-3 models also come with traction control and stability control. Buyers may also add a DVD-based navigation system and heated seats.

The 2006 model year marks the first time that the 9-3 sedan is available with a V-6. This new power plant generates 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and may be paired with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The Aero trim offers a more sport-focused presentation than the 2.0T, with additional features like sport seats, 17-inch wheels, a special body kit and a sport-tuned suspension. The Aero also has a lower stance.
A 300-watt sound system with a CD changer is another additional feature here, but many owners have been disappointed with the surprisingly poor sound quality.

The new engine provides 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and it is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Exclusive Aero features include sport seats, chrome interior trim, a 300-watt CD audio system and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Aero also gets a special body kit and sport suspension, which create a lower stance.
Options include a DVD-based navigation system, heated seats, and bi-HID head lamps.
