Yummy — I would buy this car all over again. I've never had a car that I loved as much as this one. The main drawback, the main issue that drives me nuts (actually there are two): 1) Where the cup holder is, right in front of the air conditioning/heating vents. Very inefficient for keeping drinks cold/hot; 2) The factory radio is difficult to replace. The dealer won't touch it and so far I haven't found any other places that will take it on. It has a built in telephone that will not sync with my smart phone. Overall, aside from the minor issues above, I love love love this car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This car has been my most favorite car.  It is fun to drive and looks good.

Cons: It is a very small two-seater.  This is not a family car, nor is there much storage space in the trunk.

Fast, Perfect California Car — The airscarf is a must have on any convertible, too bad the only company that has it is Mercedes! :) One of the best cars I've ever owned, from a power, looks and technology standpoint. Great handling and the hard top convertible is the best in its class.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Amazing roadster convertible with a powerful 3.5L V6, amazing build quality, no creaks rattles after 8 years of ownership!

Cons: No rear seats

You Get Speed And Eyeballs — This car is brutal and mean. It is so loud even without any exhaust modification. It goes from 0-60mph in just 4.3 seconds. It will grab eyeballs everywhere you drive it to with the rear diffusor and the matte finish. And it is a good summer drive being a hard top convertible. But it does nothing more than running fast and looking cool. The trunk size is OK but it is a 2 seater and you can only fit 2 people in. The suspension is VERY HARD. And you can only get averagely 14-17 mpg. In short, it only does what it was designed to do really well.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Super fast, super loud even without any modification. Drives so well. Very close to the ground. Feels like you are playing NFS when driving this car. Very good summer car. Trunk space actually not bad at all.

Cons: Not very good fuel economy. Noisy on highway. Super stiff suspension. Seats only 2.

Great Car To Drive, Amazing Sporty Look And Feel. —

Performance: Acceleration is great, throws you to the back of the seat when you use the kick-down behind the accelerator. Braking is great, stops the car at a great distance while it also has ABS so it does not skid on wet or snowy surfaces. Handling is sporty but has both sport and comfort mode for those long drives. Its 228 horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine gives the real feeling of driving a sports car. It's just right for buyers seeking the pleasure of open motoring and the luxury of a Mercedes without the higher cost of the more powerful engine. Build Quality: Great build, design is flawless. When the roof is down the windows provide for a great drive without any noise and cold air blowing through. Car is extremely aerodynamic so it picks up speed much faster than any of its competitors. Appearance: Car has a flawless sleek design that turns heads when driven by. It is on of the extremely few Hardtop convertibles thats in the market. Leather upholstery gives it that great feeling when driven, along with a nine-speaker sound system with an in-dash CD player, an antitheft alarm and Tele Aid telematics, which provides emergency response service or direct connection to the nearest Mercedes dealer. Cost of Ownership: Gas mileage ranges from 18 city to 28 highway. Premium fuel is required and recommended. Maintenance is every 13,000 miles so there is no hassle for oil changes or brake flushes ever 3,000 miles. Fun Factor: This Mercedes Benz is great to own, it provides the best feeling of a sport car on local roads and especially on highways. Runs 0-60 in 6 seconds while its the safest car to be in. It has Electronic stability program, anti-braking system and traction control.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun, Sporty, hardtop convertible.

Cons: Turns heads.

I Have Suggested It To My Friend And I Will Buy Another One Soom. — It was a really fun car. The heated seats made for a fun drive on cold evenings down the coast of California. I would really rate this a 4.5 but I didn't have that option. I will definitely buy another one. The handling is so much fun. Easy and can turn around on a dime. The options make it the perfect complement for what you expect in a Mercedes. Gotta Love it! My friend even bought one after I did. What fun we had with our little side by side road trips. Cheers to Mercedes for the hard top convertible that is automatic. I'll never go back to manual again.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It's top of the line...Fabulous!

Cons: No reason to avoid it unless you need to drive around with more than 2 people in the car.

My Slk 55 Amg Special Series — I like that it's not just an AMG version. The performance is unique in ways which only Mercedes can describe and the Looks of the car are out of this world sexy. The cost ownership is definitely not something to toss to the side when it comes to an AMG. It's not a cheap car so you can't expect cheap service. When all is said and done I couldn't have made a more attractive choice.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything about the car

Cons: Price

Fantastic. — 2006 SLK 280 is fantastic. Has electric seats upgrade and metallic fleck silver. Sturdy, fast enough, daily driver, easy to maintain, very comfortable seats, great gas mileage, low insurance cost, high fun factor.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Gas mileage, looks, build, power, nice ride, weight

Cons: Small trunk/storage as it is a 2-seater, but this is an expected trade off..

Awesome Looking Car. I Get Compliments All The Tme On It. — I had corvettes, Nissan 350, Saturn Sky, . But none of those cars can compare to the SLK 350. The cock pit has a big car fell is very roomy compared to other sports cars. It hanldes and ride very smooth around town were the VET was a bumpy ride. The convertioble is aweomse using the retrackable roof

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Love the retracable roof

Cons: Front hood release accidently engage when existing vehicle
