There Is Verry Little To This Car, It Has The Essentials. — it is SMALL!!! there is barely any acceleration it doesn't hold well in the corners, the car has not needed a repair as of yet, however, it currently has only 22,000 Miles on it, it looks like an old SAAB and its not that fun to drive... its more work to drive than it is worth. the clutch is too soft and FREEZES up in the winter...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Gas Mileage

Cons: too small

Pretty Damn Good Car. — Like it a lot, quick, comfortable, good on gas, and a four door hatchback is awesome so I can lay all the seats down and have a queen size bed in my car! Very reliable, never gives me any problems that can't be blamed on the driver :D. Also has a decent, stock component speaker system. The only complaint is that the clutch might be going, but then again I do drive it pretty hard.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I nice mix between price, reliability, luxury and being fun to drive.

Cons: Just watch the clutch!

Good But Uninspiring —

My family bought a 2006 Elantra sedan and I have had the experience of driving several thousands of kilometers in it. It strikes me as an excellent vehicle for people who don't care about cars. Let me explain. The build quality, in terms of interior materials and panel fitting, is quite good. There is a weight to the instruments that is missing from American-made competitors. The interior does feels a little cheap or dowdy compared to a Toyota Corolla's, but I think the Elantra surpasses the Corolla in terms of outward visibility, acceleration and handling. That is not to say that this vehicle is rewarding to drive, because it isn't. Performance is merely adequate. It's a good thing this car came with an MP3 player, because the driving experience sure isn't going to keep me entertained. Like the rest of the car, the styling is decent. It's not a stunner, but then stunners are rare in this segment. Cost of ownership? This is where the Hyundai wins. Gas mileage is fine, the car was cheap, and from what I'm told parts and labour are cheap. It's like shopping at Winners- it's an affordable car, and what you get is just as good as the name brands. So this is a great car for going from point A or B with no events or drama. If a car is a practical necessity for you, a tool, an Elantra won't disappoint. For other people the drive is an event in itself- and for these people I recommend something else.

Pros: Low price, build quality, economy

Cons: Boring

Hyundai Elantra — Performance is not bad could have more power, The cars lines all match up no large gaps between panels. Its got nice leather intr and very comfortable seats, enough room for four. I like the looks reminds me of a Saab 9-3. I have been averaging around 33mpg with the upgrades that I have done. Handles well and now better with the custom built strut bar. I love to drive this car.

Pros: Fun to drive

Cons: lack of aftermarket go fast goodies

A Not Very Good Car Back Then, A Terrible Car Today Because Of Its Successor — The old Elantra...this car was one of the first ones I had to drive for work. It didn't give me a good impression of Hyundai leading me to believe they wouldn't catch up to the Japanese at that rate. Well onto this car. This car was just not very involving to drive. The engine was rather unrefined so it was noisy but it wasn't very powerful either, its a Mitsubishi design too. Handling is merely average and thus nothing really worth noting. The interior is really where this car didn't help the unsatisfying driving experience. The car's beeper noises are very annoying, it will be the first thing you'll notice. The interior is nothing but bland and unappealing. The build quality is so-so, it seems the Koreans only build a car well when they believe in it...this wasn't one of them. The exterior wasn't very good looking particularly the front. Some of the colours Hyundai offered were especially terrible particularly the green. This is a Hyundai from the past, considering how much better they are now its just not worth considering this one. This particular car is best left forgotten.

Pros: Nothing about it was too awful like a Sebring for instance

Cons: Unrefined, styling, beeping noises, a lot of terrible colour choices, today's Hyundais are superior

Gilgamesh — It looks sharp with the tint, no problems at all yet (2.5 years); it's roomy for a compact car; the stereo is pretty good; decent ride; comfortable for a newer car. It's been very reliable. The trunk dips a bit so you can't see it when backing up. It has a dorky alarm that only malfunctions. The breaks aren't the best (in all the Elantra's we tried). It needs snow tires to handle well in the snow (first car i've had like that). It has a slightly high centre of gravity but it's easy to get in and out of. It hasn't developed a personality yet.

Pros: sharp tint job (Apple), factory stereo/mp3, reliable

Cons: breaks, half spare, rain handling, generic bubbletop, factory alarm

Hyundai Elantra — Performance --> It's not a race car but it's 140hp still gives you a nice ride! I just recently installed a custom cold air intake with a K&N Air Filter... Build Quality --> As of now I changed nothing on this car! Everything is holding on strong! Appearance --> I changed the headlight to HID 8000K, I've got footwell neon working with the beat! Complete sound system with Pioneer Headunit and JBl Amps and Sub! Cost --> Depending on how you drive it this car can really be good on gas mileage! For the price of maintenance I can't really tell bcz i didn't have to change nothing. All I do is oil change to Castrol Syntec every 8000km! Well I would recommend a car to anyone who wants, a good car for not too much money that can last a real long time. Good on gas and Really good on maintenance! I drive it everyday and i love it! If you look around a little bit you'll find that this car is way more customizable than you think!

Pros: Appearance, Cost, Build Quality

Cons: None for Now, Maybe not enough power with stock engine but it's not a race car! ;P
