Classic Muscle Car Looks And Performance — The Mustang GT's classic muscle car looks and supreme powerful performance quickly outweigh any of the cons. The car is a thrill for drivers of all age, old and young. The car has surprisingly good gas mileage IF you can control your lead foot, and this car begs you to have a lead foot. Any fuel mileage woes are quickly corrected as soon as you get the common "Hey, nice car" in the parking lots.

Pros: It's a mustang. The classic retro style coupled with a powerful v8 cannot be matched

Cons: Gas mileage, uncomfortable for long trips

Best Money I Ever Spent On A Car —

I loved the late 60s early 70s Mustangs when I was a kid but never owned one. Had a couple of BMW M3 convertibles (great cars) then decided to go American and try my first Pony car. Glad I did. Bought a used 2006 Mustang GT Premium convertible and it's the best money I ever spent. I got the 5 speed (Pro 5.0 short shift) with red leather interior, 18" wheel upgrade and Cervinni hood with cold air intake. The Mustang GT is a great car stock right from the factory but the best thing about owning a GT is American Muscle.com and the unbelievable number of performance and appearance mods you can do to make your GT different from the others. I drove it for a month and loved it so much I started spending serious coin on mods which I had a blast doing myself. Pulled the wheels and painted the calipers and installed EBC Red Stuff performance break pads. What a difference! Three times the braking power with the stock rotors and calipers. Removed the stock cam covers and installed Ford Racing Blue cam covers. Only took three hours and makes an incredible difference in the engine bay. Bought the chrome caps and chrome fuse box cover. Bought SSS Terminator axle back exhaust pipes and installed those. Bought some badges and decals and installed them. Purchased an engine cover and installed that. Painted the throttle body and some of the other engine parts Ford Racing blue. Installed Hankook performance tires. Bought and installed the Honeycomb trim to black out the back deck and installed black trim around the tail lights.Bought and installed the sequential tail light harness. The car is so much fun to drive. It's no M3 and doesn't handle like one but it's not intended to be. It's more fun than an M3 in a totally different way and for different reasons. Crazy fun to drive and I make new friends every day because children and adults love Mustangs. Kids literally can't help themselves from stopping whatever they are doing and waving at me and smiling! Makes my day every time it happens. It's crazy the number of smiles this car generates per mile.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Beautiful exterior and interior (Premium package), great exhaust note, excellent build quality, superb motor and transmission, great stock braking (with upgraded EBC Red Stuff pads), good fuel economy, astounding number of mods available, fun to work on, fun to drive, unbelievable number of smiles, looks, waves and thumbs up every time I take it out.

Cons: Known issues with spark plugs breaking on change after 50,000 miles. No real place to jack up vehicle with floor jack. Car should be designed with front and rear areas for a jack given how many owners turn wrenches and do mods.

Dream Machine! — Looks like a kick-a$$ Mustang with the responsive, sporty R&P steering...add to that a killer sound system and a more rear-end and back-friendly ride! Luxury with a sporty twist...this is my dream car. Runs like a scalded dog but offers terrific gas mileage with the sensible V6 engine. I am so very pleased and have no regrets that it took three+ weeks and hundreds of miles to find it. Ford finally got it right, a sports car can be beautiful, comfortable, and loaded with goodies...My new to me Mustang convertible is the TOTAL PACKAGE! If it is as dependable as my '92, I'll be happy 'til some schmuck comes along and totals it for me...praying for no more accidents!!! Want to thank my dad for making this dream possible! Love you Papa!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It is what it was...finally, this generation of Mustangs actually resemble the first generation models!

Cons: None!

It Turns Heads And Sounds Like A "rod" — I like the way it feels to drive and it reminds me of my car from the 60/70 era. We turn heads with flashy good looks and sounds from the big V8 Power Plant. Its a sexy ride and we love to ride the city streets or open roads.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The '06 Mustang offers the retro-look with modern technology. The car looks and handles just like the Muscle Cars I drove in the 60's and I love that feel.

Cons: The big V8 needs premium gas and it rides rough, and that's cool.

My Post Cancer Fun Car! — The mustang is an American icon! It has the looks, the speed the ability and the styling that is unsurpassed ... Nuff Said! But since I have to say a few more words I will tell you that the only thing that was not ready for the 2006 was a valid 5.0! Well, it's on now ... Maybe a new GT or higher in my future!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Looks, Style and just plain FUN!

Cons: Not much room for 4.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: how unique it looks

Cons: its only a v6
