A Nice Looking Car, Comfortable To Drive/ride In, Power Train Needed Improvments. — We liked the look of the 2007 remodeled Sebring. It looked really nice, it drove really well, very comfortable and it got great gas-mileage. We were disappointed in the engine/drive train components seemed low quality. Power/torque was lacking and the engine rev was very noisy. Because of the low quality of engine and drive train components we did not keep the vehicle.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 2007 Sebring's new body style at the time.  Drove well.  Rode well.  Great gas mileage.  Interior was nice.

Cons: 4 cylinder engine was very noisy.  Not enough power/torque.  Drive train differentials started to "pop" 2 years into ownership.  Power steering pump noise started to increase in volume.  Automatic transmission was not shifting smoothly.  Hood popped open one day while driving and slammed into the windshield....

Improved Design Overall. — This is my 2nd Sebring convertible. The first was a 2000 JXi model purchased from Carmax, had no problems in 7 years, None. Love the styling, it is modern without being ostentatious. Storage is great, lots of cubbies in doors, now has 4 cup holders! Visibility is excellent with tall greenhouse, big rear window for a convertible. Top down in 10 secs. New 2.7 liter engine is smooth and powerful, gets consistently 24-27 mpg on regular. Controls are Simple! Easy to reach, understand and use, a model for others. Trunk is huge, holds 2 big, and 2 med or golf bags with ease. 4 passenger comfort, and rear seats can carry bulky items like a microwave, or flat tv in its box for example. Cons: The rear windows sometimes squeak when up, windshield is optically distorted, (I don't notice it now) some big panel gaps and sloppy body panel welds. Missing foglight wiring the dealer corrected at no cost. Only 2 airbags. Body drain holes need periodic cleaning. Needs daytime running lights to improve visibility to other vehicles. Overall: Fun, Safe, Solid, Front Drive, Quiet, Roomy, MPG, Value, Reliable and reasonable to Insure. I would buy again.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun, Comfortable, Confident driving, Simple and Reliable. Thoughtful design.

Cons: Quality control issues, only 2 airbags.

Jan H says:
Good, sturdy everyday car with 350 000 miles on the odometer. Good handlimg on every type of roads. Gas consumption moderate. Good acceleration despite the only 2.7 litre engine.
