Proper High Quality Build As With All The Big Audi's, But Still Fast, Fun And Smooth. — 2 litre TFSi engine is a real gem for a little hot hatch. Really high build quality and still fast for a hot hatch, close to full power comes in at 1500rpm and keeps giving till the 7000rpm limiter, real fun. Ride is on the hard side but with it comes excellent handling and stability.

Pros: Flexible engine with fruity exhause note, fast, top build quality, looks

Cons: small fuel tank at 55 litres, hard ride, expensive for 3 door hatch.

Above Average Performance In All Essential Areas. — For those looking for a practical vehicle that's not boring, the A3 is a great choice. I know Americans hate hatchbacks but, what other small vehicle can give you above average fuel consumption, accelerate and move around fast with the best of them, carry four golf bags, have the best Auto/Manual transmission in the market, allow you to park almost anywhere, and manage to swallow everything from gardening supplies to a 42" Flatscreen HDTV in the cargo area?

Pros: Versatility

Cons: So so looks.

Best Hot Hatch Available In Na — For those looking for a sporty and very fun car for getting around this A3 has been great. Audi has come through with a great interior layout in thier smallest offering and combined with a very solid engine that puts out serious torque. I have always preferred a smaller car with good mileage but I also find this to have plenty of space and good rear seat room so you don't feel space compromised on that weekend trip.

Pros: Great interior, Good looks, powerful engine, cool sunroof!

Cons: Not yet available in Quattro with the same engine.

Fantastic For Driving The Miles In — Great car in SE trim, with great standard equipment levels. I've had 3 now and covered over 70,000 miles between them. Good performance and handling, ride a little hard but helps with the cornering :-)

Pros: Great build quality and equipment

Cons: Lots of them around now, so don't feel so special.

Own 2006 A3 26000 Miles Later Awesome Car — I bought the very first A3 on sale in Arizona and 26,000 miles later i can honestly say Audi has stepped up their game on this car. I have had only 2 minor warranty claims that were repaired that day, and no other issues with the car over the last 20 months. I have the 2.0T DSG sport package with A LOT of aftermarket modifications to the car. And even driving the car hard and sporty with all the aftermarket stuff on it, the A3 has never even flinched at its daily commuting task or occassional autocross and track use. If you are looking for a premium luxury car that happens to be economical and extremely fun to drive, then look no further than the A3. It is worth the price over the VW GTI, Jetta, Subaru WRX, and other cars that try to be in its class but none seem to measure up to the A3.

Audi A3 2006+ Is The Nicer Model Shape With All The Gadgets Any Man Would Love — I like the feel of the car as you drive, the acceleration is very responsive. Build Quality being german its always of high standard, Mileage is low including i done nearly 10k since i have had the car. Fun Factor is very high just the Performance keeps it subtle and not a real street threat :D

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its mine!! and its sooo easy to drive

Cons: Only the performance and worrying whats happening to it when im not there!

Black Beauty — 2006 2.0 FSI A3 3-door Full S-line body kit, consisting of: - front and rear bumper - S-line grille and badging - sills and rear spoiler - 17" 5-spoke alloys (subsequently changed to 19" R8 V12 TDi wheel) Performance - not as much fun as the 2.0T, but no slouch. Brakes are precise and sharp and handling is very predictable and allows for lots of fun on winding roads. Build quality - usual Audi fit and finish. No rattles or niggling hassles that motorplan can't sort out. Appearance - handsome from most angles. S-line package offers a break from the majority of A3/S3's driving around. Wide rear appearance not to everyone's liking. Running costs - not a performance vehicle so it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to run. Fill her up with fuel and she's good to go. Fun factor - fun drive. Great for twenty-somethings looking for a hatch that's slightly more exclusive than the majority of the competitors but without being dull.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: all rounder

Cons: none to report

The A3 gets great gas mileage, the Quattro sticks it to the ground even in really bad weather and it is a zippy ride. This is a great way to start off with Audi. Definitely a drivers car. Read More
