Poppin — Like: comfortable inside, dual moon-roof, hefty power but not too fast, comfortable, quiet when not getting deaf by my stereo, quick and auto-up/down windows, all glass top makes it easier to wash, everything goes off only after opening door. I still get compliments on it. It's poppin. Dis-like: 20-22MPG since I drive a lot of city. Large and heavy door hard to get out of tight parking spots. Good looks and personalized license plate make it hard to go around discretely.

Nice And Reliable Car. — So far, I haven't found problems on the car. It is very reliable and handles ok.

Pros: Nice looking appearance inside and outside.
It is ok on gas economy 26m/g average.
It handles fine and has a good engine for its price.

Cons: I wish it has a better acceleration.
Interior is not as quiet as I would like it to be.

Good For Everyday Driving — The 2.4L I4 on the tC gets decent gas milage and can still go when needed. The car has a little body roll on hard turns but still holds the road.

Pros: strong clutch, decent gas milage, easy to maintain, a lot of aftermarket
options

Cons: slight body roll, stock tires make it easy to slide out in rain or snow

Great Sporty Car For The Money — I have owned my tC for 3 years. I bought the second one that my dealership ever recieved, so I have had the advantage of owning one from the very beginning. While it will never be mistaken for a high performance car, it does have a great price/performance ratio and really good styling (sort of an imitation of an Infiniti G35 coupe)

Pros: Styling, reliability, good performance/price ratio

Cons: Never will be mistaken for a performance car.  Otherwise, no real cons

Can't Beat What You Get For The Price! — I've had this car for 3 years (50k so far) and I can honestly say I've never looked back. For the price nothing can come even close. If you have another five grand to spend then a GTI or Speed 3 is obviously the better performing vehicle but for something just north of 16 grand it's hard to beat.

Pros: All glass roof, standard sunroof, low-torquey engine, looks, customization, dask layout, 17" wheels standard.

Cons: Not enough horsepower for really quick passing on highway, a little heavy.

A Sub-compact That Is Concerned About The Driver, Not The Ice Caps. —

For a car that is less than $20,000, the tC is a pretty impressive little hatch. It has a good blend of performance, comfort, design, build quality, and attention to detail. It interior says “I want to be German”, not the “Hey look how cheap I am” that you get in other cars less than $20,000. The performance is pretty impressive, the car accelerates quickly, but don’t think you can beat every car that pulls up next to you. There is a strong surge of acceleration up to 5500 rpm and just noise from that point to the redline at 6200 rpm. The car grips very well and the steering feel very good (for a Toyota). When cruising down the southern California freeways, the tC has no problem braking form 80 to a stop and it stays flat in the process. If you are like me, get a radar detector, because this thing does not have a problem getting to its top speed. Unlike most other toyotas, MPG is not a selling point of the car, not that it gets bad gas mileage (it gets great gas mileage), it is just not the goal of this car. There is hop, you don't have to give up driving enjoyment to get good gas milage like you do in other toytas (yaris, corolla, prius, camery, prius) The tC does not make any statements with its styling, it is elegant, an looks like something that would come from Germany. The Panoramic roof is great in San Diego, and the sound system is not half bad either. In addition you don’t feel like you are driving a low priced car. Some times you feel comfortable parking next to the Aston Martin parked in front of Morton’s Steak House. The car has fairly good build quality, but there are some areas for improvement. The bad roads in Point Loma bring out the structural faults with the tC. Many bumps will send rattles through out the cabin, mainly near the hatch, and the glove box. The moon roof also lets you know that the chassis is twisting when entering a drive way diagonally. The manual transmission can be inconsistent sometimes, which can result in rough shifting form 1st to 2nd. It dents easy, don’t park in narrow spots. Despite the faults, it is easy to look past them, especially at the price. Hey Its not a BMW, event if it somewhat tries to look like one. It is a fun car at a reasonable price, just keep your eyes in the rear view mirror.

Pros: Brakes, low-midrange acceleration, steering feedback, A toyota that is actually fun to drive.

Cons: Body rattles, dents easy, can make the driver cocky.

Ver Good All Rounder — One of the best cars to own these days . Good bang for your buck . Excellent retail after 4 years of owning one .

Pros: A very good fit and finish on the bodywork . I am a Tool & Die maker and have worked for an  Audi assembly plant as well as Volvo . This is what we look at . Compared to anything up to the $ 40 000  market  it is very comparable with fit and finish.

Cons: None.

Not Bad — I drove this car when I was looking to trade in the Equinox. I was impressed with it. There was a few things that were cheaply made. But overall the car was pretty good. Ran great!

Pros: Quick Acceleration

Cons: Cheaply Made
