Great Car! —

I have a 2.5 S with custom rims and spoiler. It has been a pretty solid car for me. I bought it used in 2006 with 25K and now have 100K miles on it. It has great acceleration and power for a 2.5L 4 cylinder with 175HP. Almost everyone cannot believe that it is a 4 cylinder! Most of the power can be attributed to Nissan’s CVT Transmission, which is awesome and stands apart from its competitors. The Altima has great handling and breaking. I love the interior and the layout and the seats are very comfortable on long trips. It also has a ton of storage compartments that come in handy! The only bad thing about the interior is the trim material scratches easily around the shifter and windows. In addition to the interior scratching, the paint chips and scratches pretty easily. However the paint is very sparkly and looks great. The only other negative being the "spirited" driver that I am is that at 69K I had to replace the steering rod and pinion as well as the transmission solenoid, but both were covered under warranty. I also heard that other owners of 2005's had to replace the rod and pinion, but there was never a recalled issued. Overall this car is very fun to drive and gets pretty good gas mileage. I would recommend getting an Altima to anyone looking for a midsize sedan. However, my next Nissan will be either a 3.5 V6 Altima or Maxima because they have a lot more power and go.

Pros: Fun car to drive with great style, power and comfort.

Cons: Had to replace a few parts that were covered under warrenty

Best Car I Have Had So Far...drives Just As Good As My Audi But Faster... — quick acceleration, awesome braking, handles around corners like crazy, looks flawless and perfect lines. Definetly fun and exciting to drive around town or on the freeway. Put the pedal to the floor bc it is FAST...FAST...and ooo...FAST...did i say fast?

Pros: handles like a gem

Cons: none

Nissan Altimas Are A Great Car, Economic And Fun — Room, room and more room. Were lookin at the SUV's on the market and the Altima had more space for a family than most of them for a better price. And boy is that car nice to handle, almost like driving a real sports car!! No Mini vans for me

Pros: Room, I already said as much

Cons: Haven't found one yet.

My '05 Altima — Love this car, !st actually nice car I've had. It gets up pretty good, needs a lil engine work, but it's good. Too bad the governor maxes out at 110MPH. Other than that takes corners damn good no matter how fast I'm going. Haven't needed to fix anything yet, I think I might need breaks soon. Even though the things stops on a dime. I like this design a clean cut car, had tints installed I need some 18's (at least) a dual exhaust and a Grille to clean up the front end. Also they should of done the tail lights black like the SE-R model, woulda looked much better. I get anywhere between 400 to 460 MPG on a full tank, and I run 93 in it. I love this car, it rides smooth doesn't have any rattles, and it's comfortable for me and all of my passengers. I'd tell all my friends to get one of these, it's a great car.

Pros: Everything

Cons: What negatives?

Nisalt — Overall, I love the car. Great torque and horsepower. Good for city and highway driving. Also handles mods well. With a few simple mods the gas mileage shoots through the roof. I think the highest mpg I have gotten is 48 sooo we are in prius territory now folks. Just doesn't have as much speed as the 3.5, but with the 2.5 one it isnt nose-heavy.

Pros: Nissan is on the up-n-up!

Cons: No turbo = slower than I like.

You'll Have No Regrets With An Altima 2.5 Sl — This was my first car. The leather, Bose, moonroof were all great. The Stereo was the best one I've heard, others say the same about it. The 2.5L inline 4 was pretty peppy, I would always shift it using the gated shifter. I would run it at 65 in 3rd and not know I wasn't in 4th... :) it's nice that I couldn't hear the engine then, but that was just because of my music blasting. The guage cluster looked great, lined in chrome, lite up orange. I had auto lights on it (becaus it was the SL) so I never had to worry about leaving them on. When ever I see an Altima on the road now I always check to ensure that mine was nicer. The car did not have Traction control, so It was not the best in the snow... I often wish I still had this car, but I got a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS with the 3.3L V6. Oh and it averaged 29 MPGs.

Pros: Looks, Stereo, Leather, Ride, DANG IT HANDLED GREAT, nice cockpit layout

Cons: I don't have it anymore :{  only had a 4-speed transmission, mine was used

My Favorite Car So Far — I love the performance, its like a sports car but with 4 doors and five seats. Considering it has over 80000 miles the build quality is fantastic, I love the color but hate that when its slightly dirt it looks awful but thats what you get when you have a black car. The mpg gauge shows i can get over 35 to the gallon but i'm rarely up there with my heavy right foot. But i do like driving the car.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

My Car And I — Performance: love the power, but didnt like the factory tires. They were too soft to hold the road. Once I replaced them my handling was a hell of a lot better. Build quality: I bought it at 25,000 miles 14 months ago. Ive put 40,000 miles on it and it still runs like a charm. Gas with my upgrades I am getting much better gas milage. run about 35 mpg on hwy, 25-30 mpg in the city, depending on how I drive it. Car is extremely fun to drive!

Pros: Best car Ive owned

Cons: Didnt like the soft factory tires

Altima Se-r — Everything war perfect about the car the customer service is the only reason that I got rid of it. at 33,000 miles the struts went out and they refused to cover them under warranty. Some geat things about the car was the leather, heated seats, sunroof, and the exhaust system.

Pros: performance

Cons: customer service by nissan
