My '05 Ford Expedition — Love the 4 wheel independent suspension. For a full size SUV it handles the best in it's class by far. It's got really good power, but the gas milage could be a bit better. I only see about 13.5 mpg. Love the leather interior because it's really easy to clean up.

    Pros: Great Handeling and Power

    Cons: Low gas milage

Great Suv — Great all around SUV, acceleration is OK, it handles very well on and off road. Drove it successfully in the dessert and in snow storms, interior is spacious and comfortable. Gas mileage sucks but who cares!!! Exterior looks great, engine is relatively powerfull and basically it delivers. I recommend this car

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Nothing really

My 2005 Ford Expedition — Don't buy this if you are on a gas budget. Averages 14 miles to a gallon. Great truck, though. Handles like a car, with truck strength. Mine has amenities such as rear DVD player, towing package, 6 CD changer, power driver seat, power mirrors.

Pros: Power, 4WD, lots of room for passengers and cargo

    Cons: Gas Milage

Great Family And Gear Hauler — Wife didn't want a minivan and third row needed to be comfortable for a 6 foot adult. This is why we bought this. We decided that we didn't need to pay extra for a lincoln navigator when we got everything we needed in the expy.

Pros: Lots of space, heated and cooled seats, middle seat in 2nd row slides fore/aft, power operated 3rd row seats fold flat, power adjustable brake pedal location, easy entry drivers seat, commanding view of the road, 4WD system works slick.

Cons: Not so great gas mileage, handles like a big truck, steering is very isolated from the road, hard to park in these small spots here in Cali.

    Overall:

2005 Xlt Sport — I have a 2005 expedition xlt sport I have not had 1 problem with it since I purchased it in 05. I did add a k&n air cold air system and hypertech power programer to it. I pull a 6,000 pd camper. Those 2 items increased my hp to 335. On turnpike with cruise set @ 70 mph I am now getting 19.5 to 20 mpg. City still around 14.5 mpg. Not to bad for a 3 ton vehicle. I just ordered a 2008 EL Limited.

    Pros: The room

Cons: needs a bigger fuel tank with better fuel economy without spending addition money to get it.

The Beast — Overall, Great Vehicle as far as cosmetics, plenty of room, and power, but not good for a family that is on the constant go, Fuel Economy is a complete disaster, keeping up with it's maintenance can get a bit expensive. Great vehicle to travel in as far as comfort goes but it does require alot of attention and $$$$.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very Roomy, great with all 4 seasons, Looks Sharp, Very powerful

Cons: Fuel Economy, Repairs are very Expensive, Very Expensive vehicle to maintain

The most comfortable cockpit Ive ever driven in my life. Better fuel economy, and more power than the Suburban, but Fords are so much more difficult to work out from an engineering standpoint. Would definitely buy Tahoe/ Suburban before another Expedition.
