My Baby — absolutely love it. wish I had purchased a convertible long ago.attracts attention too. plenty of room and adequate storage space.no drop down back seats for the pass thrus is a bummer. plenty of get up and go with the high output turbo. drinks fuel when pushed but overall if driven realtively "easy" then mileage is good. My "hot rod"...has after market chrome grille

    Pros: the look

    Cons: nothing

The Most Exciting Car I've Ever Driven — It's a pint sized rocket ship. It's flippin amazing. If you want the ultimate in front wheel drive, the 2005 PT Turbo is the car to beat.

Pros: Great acceletration, a 5-speed transmission to die for, perfect feel of brakes and clutch

Cons: None.  I mean, it's perfect!

Fun To Drive. — Gets great gas mileage. I've driven mine to New York twice. Fun to drive, rides remarkably well and, so far, very low maintainance.

    Pros: Gas Mileage

Cons: Room for 5, but only if 2 of them are small.

Great Handling, Manual Shifting, Good Gas Mileage, Easy To Get In And Out Of, Lots Of Space! — We wanted manual shift when we bought this car which meant we had to order the GT package, the most expensive package they had for the PT Cruiser. My ex-husband liked pickup trucks but needed a daily commuter and we wanted to save gas, the interior has high seats which gave him the feel he liked, and it came with the manual shifting he liked and enough space to pack all his books (even a shelf for them in the back) he takes to refer to at work. We still had plenty of space to take friends and clients to dinner. It was easy for them to get in and out of even people who normally have trouble with most cars that have low seats. A lot of people liked the retro styling, people either loved or hated the looks of it. Once they rode in it they usually liked the ride. The turbo gave it plenty of power and it wore the first set of tires out very quickly. It's easier to go faster than you think you're going in this car.

Pros: Comfortable, good handling, plenty of room

Cons: People either love it or hate the looks of it.

Have convertible. When it is in good shape it is fun to drive. Almost all of that year were given defective air conditioners. If you buy one, dont expect the AC to work long.
