Avalanche/suburban Lover — Went from a 6 young kids family camper to teens and needed a truck to haul a boat and , things for the new house finally. So I traded in the Suburban which I loved for the Avalanche which is built on the same frame. The truck runs great and still is. The only issue I really have is all the plastic they put around the bottom of the truck and bed of the truck. I guess they all are now but it doesn't take much to scratch it or bend it. The 4 wheel drive and traction control are great.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Great drive, built off the suburban frame which I owned previously and loved. The cargo hauling is great and towing.

Cons: Gas and all the plastic around the outside body now is a pain.

My Favorite To Date — After owning 6 cars and 3 trucks this one has had the least amount of issues, runs strong after 9 years, 125k miles. Very comfortable for long hauls, fits 4 Large men easily while pulling a 14' trailer full of motorcycles. Versatility of the rear window and seats to open the cargo area is awesome! The two built-in toolboxes that double as coolers for tailgating is absolutely genius.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: No major issue after 9 years and 125k miles!

Cons: Bed is small

It Is A Sleek Work Horse — I've owned this vehicle for going on 2 years and it has never let me down. I've done quite a few upgrades and made it look and sound just like I want it to but I am now looking for a diesel to tow with.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a truv a truck/SUV and it does anything and everything in between

Cons: Only problem I have is that it can only tow 8k pounds I need more

This Was A Very Well Built Suv, I Would Look Into Purchasing One. — this is a great turning, stopping, ride, comfort, handling SUV. The few things we didn't like about it were the running boards are too wide making getting out awkward. We have owned several other smaller SUV. This one has it all. The size just doesn't feel big. It feels like a 5 seater SUV. I love looking at it, driving it, washing it, and packing in the family.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: We really like the over look of the Dodge.  The interior was very comfortable and all of the amenities were easily accessible.

Cons: The gas mileage is our only concern .

Extremely Impressed. — Wonderful ride, quite, smooth, compartments for storage, bed cover is nice, never was particularly fond of the style until I became an owner, now I love it. Even the fuel economy is not what I like, I have to argue with myself when it comes to a road trip.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Ride

Cons: Fuel economy poor

05 Avalanche — This is a great truck almost 200K and still running strong. Pulls trailer around most of the time, and still achieves reasonable gas mileage. Overall has been a great truck and hopefully will still get another 100K out of it moving forward.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Good Work Truck

Cons: Gas Mileage once its gotten high in miles, but its expected

Will Buy Another. — I love this truck. Wish I did not have to sell. Buying a house. Most versatile vechicle out there. Only thing I would change is make it a diesel for better fuel milage. With 8.1 you get about 10-13 mpg. Chevy should make this with a duramax and I'll buy another one.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Tows, hauls, versatility. Can lock your stuff up in the back. With midgate down you can sleep two comfortabily .

Cons: Only con is milage. But for 3/4 ton truck that can do it all. Thats the sacrafice.

Great Truck All Around — The only thing that I have to complain about the truck is the low MPG's. Everything else is awesome. Handles great when towing, looks and drives good. Lots of cargo room in the back and a large back seat with plenty of leg room.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great truck fits our 5 person family with 3 car seats.

Cons: Not great on gas

Avalanche!!!! — This truck is a great family truck. You can transport the whole family and a moderate amount of cargo. Its has all the power a truck could need. I love driving my avalanche and would recommend it to any of my friends!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Best truck ever.

Cons: With the price of gas it is expensive to run.

Great Truck! — Love this truck and hate to see it go. But due to size and Military move we have to. Great in all weather conditions and very safe and useful. Uses more gas but has great torch and power. Great Family Vehicle.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Nice, Big, Spacoious, Great handeling, Good breaks, stearing and accleration. I Love this truck and feel very safe and comfortable when driving. Nice look.

Cons: Since it is a bigger vehicle it's a little harder to park in small spaces and uses more gas.  Replaced the battery once and brakes 3 times. Normal matinence, tune ups and oil changes.
