High Maintenance Costs But Fun To Drive — it holds the road well, great acceleration, frequent sensor malfunctions, regular drivetrain breakdowns, comfortable interior, good looking, good utility vehicle, great towing, if on the right roads it is very fun to drive, okay gas mileage and very expensive maintenance

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Very powerful

    Cons: expensive upkeep

Stylish High Power Suv — Replaced 2 engines in the thing within 75k km!!! But I did have chips on the 1st engine which might explain something - or not But comfort when driving is unsurpassed. Even without the memory seats it is a great SUV to drive Used a lot transporting surf gear around the beaches

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Not as expensive as the Cayenne Turbo

Cons: Not as stylish and swift as the Cayenne turbo

Bad Suv — Slow, poor handling, uncomfortable seats, cheap inteior, it has lots of options but they seems a little poorly set up. The ride sucks- you feel every bump and also it does not hold the road good at all. There was a loud rattle commng from the door.

Pros: Not too much good out of it.---- Has lots of room

Cons: To much to even bothe listing

    2004 V6 Volkswagen Touareg 3.2 L....amazing Rig!!!!!!! —

I love my 2004 TOUREG V6 AWD vehicle! I was looking at a jeep seeing as I have 4 big dogs and needed something rugid...the touareg was a government trade in vehicle...why they traded it in I still don't understand! Lots of cabin space, auto windsheild-wipers, nice heated leather seats, "peppy" engine with tip-tronic, dual climate control, realible car all the way aroound! My only issues would have to be price to fix parts and the whole premium gas thing but then again, nice cars always take premium so seeing that the TOUAREG is a luxury car, it's to be expected. The car has the turning capabilities of a sedan and the breaks of a porche. Quiet engine, very quiet ride, you don't really hear outside noises. If you like musc you are in luck! The TOUAREG has a great STOCK sound system with speakers in more places then you could imagine for optimal listening. I love going around racing people in it. Just driving the car in general gets me excited! I'm not a snow driver but when we had a big snow storm about a month ago, I sure did learn how with the help of the amamzing AWD machine. The traction control is anything but dull...Amazing if you ask me! Great for all driving conditions.

Pros: Fast, fun to drive, quiet engine, cabin. great breaks, see more above....

Cons: Cost to fix, premium gas....

Vw Needs To Get Out Of The "luxury" Car Business! — Mechanically this SUV was exceptionally expected from a VW. All of the "bells & whistles" kept this car at the dealership. Had more recalls than a chinese toy manufacturer. On top of that, the dealer didn't have a tech that could work on it. Traded this $65K POS in on a 2008 Mercedes ML CDI. Better car and cost $15k LESS!!!!!!!!!

Pros: The day I bought it and the day I sold it!

Cons: Too many negatives to list and I'm a lifelong VW fan.

    Cons: bad gas mileage

Houareg — This truck is sick! I can't wait to take it to the mountains this winter and take the mountain. Great performance. Loves to drink fuel, a little expensive on the long end. It's a very fun vehicle to drive. I can coax as much power out of this vehicle as I could out of a turbo'd nissan.

    Pros: Great Power

    Cons: Too tall of gears

Great Vehicle — I Love my Touareg. Amazing vehicle! I love the AWD of this vehicle. not the fuel econmy of a Smart car but un-stopable in the winter. never had an issue getting stuck. Great at low speed or high speeds. 7700 lb towing capacity isnt bad either. wouldn't trade it for anything other than another Touareg!

    Pros: AWD

Cons: Fuel econmy not that of a smart

I Like It — never misses a beat. No problem- when i think about trading it in for a saloon it will rain or snow and then it cannot be beaten. Less footballers wives than an X5 , more reliable than a rangerover sport. average 30mpg so for of a car of its size and stature it is ok

    Pros: bulletproof

    Cons: quite thirsty

Aaron's Vw Touareg Review — I would not recommend the 2004 VW Touareg to my friends...however, the SUV performs very well on the road and has a fine finish. The Touareg has an agressive stance on the road. It's been reliable all 76k miles, but has some issues with trim durability (covered under warranty earlier in ownership) not to mention the tire pressure sensor has been out for months...I dread the dealer! Oh yes, the brakes are amazing, but pads have been replaced three times at $700 a pop. I won't replace the VW but will go sportier soon.

    Pros: Great on the road

Cons: Annoying little problems keep me going back to the dealer
