Four Doors, A Usable Trunk And Goes Like Stink. What More Do You Want — most fun to drive car I have ever owned. acceleration is almost supercar fast (with a little tuning), handling is fantastic. The style of the first generation is way too over the top, but very easy to overlook considering all the other attributes.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: acceleration is fantastic.  6spd gearbox makes it hard to be in the wrong gear

Cons: Hated the wing

Bottom Line, If You Want One, Get One. — Great vehicle. All around very safe and can easily be a daily driver if you have moderate income. Performs VERY well and can be easily modded for night and day differences. Nothing else beats this car for it's cost. When it comes to Subaru the WRX line is one of the greatest AWD imports out there.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: No words are needed for this car, if you know anything about it you know that it's a great car.

Cons: What sucks about it is if you use it for a DD, you gotta fill up on gas at least once a week with 91 or higher.

Major Awesome — The car has an after market MAP but the performance is superb. 0-100 in abt 5sec, braking is perect im running 4 port brembo on all 4 wheels though wish they made 8 port calipers the size of the 4 port so that I can fit 15" alloy rims. handling is good though a slight understeer but that i can leave with. Built quality is awesome though I have blown 2 engines already due to high reving but they shuld put in a warning mechanism to show the engine overheating and put a more efficient engine oil cooling system. the car is worth every coin, performance and maintenance but its a killer when u are reving to 7000rpm b4 u shift.... fuel consumption then is over the roof at such high revs. Appearance.... AWESOME, LEGENDARY the N10 eagle eyes are jus sexy combined with the big bonnet scoop i love driving it day in day out.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: performance mostly when the ALS is on or when i use launch control..... the sound also does it for me.

Cons: performance on a hot day....

Great Car To Put A Smile On Your Face And Remind You Of Being A 10 Year Old Child Again — Perfrmace is impressive, turbo lag is evident but once the turbo is wound up performance is more than enough to satisfy. The all wheel drive keeps th power from intimidating the drive, almost allowing he driver to feel better than they are. It stops and goes as any rallyrep should an puts a huge smile on my face. Build quility is solid if lackingin flair or imagination. Its plain and simple on the inside but then thats not what the car is about. It does punish the wallet when it comes to fuel consumption, drainig a tank under enthusiastic useage but the pay off is the lasting thoughts of the acceleration on boost. Its cheaper to run than previous cars and my local dealer are very helpful with any routine service work. Its definatelya car id recommend to anyone.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the noise whether driving fast or slow, and the perfrmance

Cons: turbo lag, the looks are not to everyones taste

The Bottom Line Is The Car Has It All... It's Quick, Spacious, And Fun To Drive.! — Overall the 2004 STi is a power house full of innovative engineering for all sorts of drivers. From the little things like the stock water sprayer for the top mount intercooler to the center differential, which lets you tune you car for any road condition, this baby has it all! I very much enjoy driving this car, especially for the price I paid. The only down side to owning one is the insurance is pretty high but expect that with any race car. Subaru FTW!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Any true car enthusiast will enjoy it inside and out.

Cons: Once you buy one you won't stop upgrading it...
