Our Rx8 Can Kick Your Cars Booty! —

Performance: Stock performance is nice, acceleration is what the RX-8 is best at. (Specially after aftermarket exhaust and cold air was put into it), Tops out around 185mph Build Quality: Does not break easy, but parts are not cheap if you do need to fix something. Standard dealership tires range are about $180 per tire. The perferred tires around about $250 per tire. Can't take it to a regular oil change place. Takes a rare oil for the engine. Appearance: Exterior is very nice the paint is very durable/ yet expensive. There is no need to use your brights if you have the helium lights. Body kit makes it look a little meaner. The spoiler fits the cars look nicey. The Interior is very durable aswell. Seat warmers are the best! Doesn't have much space inside the car. Tunk is okay but with a system in the back nothing will fit. Cost: $25 to fill up. Takes only high test. Doesn'y get good gas milage, but a stock would get better then ours with all the after market we have on it. Expensive and technical to upgrade stuff. The car is very fun we take it when we go out. Turn the neons on and cruise down the strip. Acceleration is very good and tops out at 185mph. Wanna Race?

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Acceleration, Top Speed, Interior, Engine

Cons: Cost per Part

No Torque — Good handling, styling, no torque. cheap used. terrible fuel efficiency. I bought this car for 12700 used. There is an 8 year warranty which solves reliability issues but not the fuel efficiency and lack of power. Get a mustang if u want to drag race off lights.

Pros: True sports car

Cons: Engine

It Is So Me! — My favourite car of allllllll time. zoom zoom Long live Bebecar! Low to the ground, 4 doors, paddle shifting, awesome stereo. Not too many problems, save for the gas cap, but that solved all my ills. Great car to drive cross country. 2x and counting.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it go fast.......zooooooooooooooom

Cons: Premium gas

80,000 Mile Review — The car handles like nothing I've ever driven. Braking and throttle response are impressive. Still waiting for the torque though. Hopefully won't have to wait much longer once I get the supercharger fitted and tuned. Overall the car is a blast to own and drive.

Pros: Performance, Fun to drive factor, appearance, exclusivity

Cons: gas mileage, lack of torque, consumes oil

04 At Rx-8 — An absolutely amazing car sleek and powerful. As long as you get all recalls done and keep up with maintenance you shouldn't have a problem. While the MT is much more fun to drive that doesn't mean the AT is a bore its still plenty of fun especially if you don't care about racing.

Pros: its a sleek and powerful little sports car

Cons: engine can flood if you don't let it warm up, gets horrible gas mileage if you drive it like it should be driven.

Great Sports Car — This car is all about speed and agility, you can take a turn at high speeds with out the fear of flipping. The 4 doors that just look like 2, takes the best of both worlds of having a sports coupe car and a 4 door sedan. This has a high fun factor. With the 50/50 weight distribution you can have tons of fun, and drift and slide every turn.

Pros: 50/50 weight distribution

Cons: low on torque

Mazda Rx-8 — Awesome Car Picked it up June 6 of 2007 and I couldn't be happier with the car for what I paid for it. The car has all the goods except for the nav system. Two tone leather, moon roof, appearance package, bose system. Rotary power FTW!!!

Pros: Rotary Engine, Appearance, Fun to Drive

Cons: Lacking Torque, Bad Fuel Mileage

Rotaries For The Current Generation. The Rx-8 Review —

Ahh the sound of a rotary engine. With the displacement on par with that of a motorcycle one could really question the performance of this car. That is until it is driven. The true merits of the RX-8 shines not in the straights of highways but in the curves of tortuous roads. The handling on this 2+2 door pseudo sedan (there is in fact 2 rear suicide "doors") is ridiculously tight and the response is amazing. The price paid for this however makes it a less than ideal automobile for pitted rough city streets. While the road feel is great, it also means you feel every single pebble, pothole and bump on the road. Turning the steering wheel also becomes an _exercise_ at low speeds due the difficulty of turning the steering wheel. Another possible trouble one can run into is that since it *is* a rotary engine you must only use dino oil (non synthetic for those not in the know) only and very often at that since the rotary engine actually burns off the oil. Also if you must turn on the engine make sure it is not turned off until it has sufficiently warmed up (5-10 minutes) or else the engine will flood and subsequent cranks will lead to a quick trip to dealership garage. But looking past it's shortcomings it still retains much of it's rotary heritage and has a large almost cult like fan base. If you love rotaries and can handle it's quirks then this car is for you.

Pros: Ridiculously tight handling, built for corners, Has a large following, Designed on par with a car worth twice as much.

Cons: Ridiculously tight handling, built for corners, a chore for inner city driving, quirky engine characteristics, possible maintenance issues for the unindoctrinated owner.

Got A Bad Car — The engine burned out after 2 days of me owing it. The car was great on performance and the sound of the engine makes the car worth while. The handling was awesome and the clutch was a perfect for the type of performance the car could put out.

Pros: Great performance and handling

Cons: the engine burned up.

Great Handling, Fun To Drive But Under Powered Car. — Great, fun car. Only gets about 20 MPG on the freeway and 17-18 on the roads but it revs to 9000 rpm, so i forgive it. Haven't had any problems with it. The only complaint I have is power. With another 50 hp this would be a really great car. It handles beautifully; brakes like a champ and is still comfortable and quiet enough for me to drive it to work 70 miles a day, even in the snow.

Pros: handling, interior styling, Mazda service/warranties

Cons: Power
