Focus Zx5 — fairly quick for what it is. hangling is amazingly good. braking is good could be better. no repairs so far other then standard maitnance looks good to me, will look sick once re-painted and and body parts are swapped. gas mialage about 400k for 3/4 tank (cost 25 to fill from 1/4) 50L tank. can fun to drive with lots of turns.

Pros: handling

Cons: small engine

Ford Focus 2.0 2004 Centenary Model — Nifty little 2.0 litre 2 door plus hatch. Goes like stink (can still get a speeding ticket), when you use the gears. Much better economy than the V8 it replaced ($80-$100 per month vs $80-$100 per week @ about $1.60/litre). Build quality is very good. It only has 2 relatively small problems that came with it, a small patch on the steering wheel that is gradually wearing away and a small tear in the plastic front bumper. The only issue I have with the car itself is with the accelerator pedal. It is positioned more than the width of my foot from the side of the foot well and depending upon the shoes I wear, my foot can slip off the pedal. Other than that, its only problem is the round blue logo that clashes with all my HSV gear.

Pros: Economically frugal and very nippy

Cons: Small and poorly positioned accellerator pedal

Focus Edge 2003-2004 — A good affordable and cheap to run car. Performance can be described as adequate from 1.6 engined model, 1.8 and 1.8 TDCi much better. 35-45 mpg depending on how you drive and great fun to drive (one of the best front wheel drive chassis I have come across). Plenty of space for 4 normal sized adults and boot space. Cheap service parts and great solid build quality and ground breaking looks. What more could you ask for? Maybe leather trim, electric heated windows and heated windscreen would be nice, but hey more to go wrong!!!

Pros: Great looking, fun to drive and great build quality.

Cons: A bit under powered with 1.6L engine, a bit lacking in equipment levels

My First Car. Ford Focus — I haven't had to repair anything on this car, yet (knocks on wood). This car accelerates pretty good. The cost wasnt that much for it being a used car. Its pretty fun to drive and it takes turns pretty well. Its gets ok gas mileage (about 20 something). The only thing I don't like about the appearance is that the back seating is kinda small due to having large trunk space. Overall I like this car for being my first.

Pros: Gets ok gas mileage, accelerates pretty well, holds up pretty nice, large trunk space.

Cons: Lack of back seat room

Ford Focus Lx — Love how safe I feel in it, has great acceleration and handles really well. Comfortable to drive, and has room for all the family we are hoping to have! Reasonably priced and economical car to own, only owned a month, but when Air con was not working Allen Ford sorted it straight away.

Pros: everything

Cons: petrol costs!
