I Love My Truck — I really like my truck. Crew cab is the only way to go. Fun to drive with manual trans. I like the look of the 2nd Gen Dakotas alot more than the ugly new ones. Really awesome truck. The only thing I wish is that there were more aftermarket parts (like lift kits and performance chips) available. Pros: Prefect size. Gas milage not too bad Cons: V6 isn't the most powerful. ![]() Looking for a Used Dakota in your area?CarGurus has 3,085 nationwide Dakota listings starting at $1,800. |

Great Truck For Bad Weather, Have A Big Bank Account For Fuel Costs — I loved this truck. Comfortable fabric bucket seats, plenty of leg room for taller people in front and back, V8 magnum definitely adds some get-up-and-go, rides higher which is good for flooding or high-snowfall areas, 4WD makes driving in snow easy, Linex spray-in bedliner is indestructible, taneau cover is a slide-on version, no snaps, which is much better. Only draw back is the 14 mpg city/18 mpg highway. Pros: Very durable, sits high, comfortable ride Cons: Terrible gas mileage (about 14 mpg in city) |

2wd Kota Blue — its the coolest blue truck that I know of. It rides like a beauty and for a Dodge vehicle, it stands it's own. It has good mpg and and off the highway. Includes window tint and tilt wheel. After Christmas, upgrades will appear. Most likely a better air-intake, bigger wheels, shock absorbers and bedliner Pros: good mpg, blue, rides smooth Cons: V6, not as big as a Ram |

Too Many Issues Too Soon — The truck I like but the problems it has had already just shouldn't be...water leaking into passenger floor-board, water pump replaced, power steering hose, and now a thermostat. I think I'll sell it... Owner for 2 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:30,000 |

Reliable And Capable For A General Use Vehicle. Good For A College Student — Good 4x4, good power. decent pulling for a midsize truck. just about 120,000 and very few issues. 4.7 V8 has a nice rumble with a dynomax exhaust. Decent fuel mileage on highway. Looks good, simple interior. I enjoy driving it. Handles the larger tires well, doesn't take much extra power to turn them. Pros: ability to handle alberta winters, especially drifted backroads. Decent highway fuel mileage. Cons: doesn't like to shift into overdrive in colder weather, and tailgate doesn't like to stay close in the cold |
