Versatile — Great truck with more versatility than the average 1/4 ton, love the side compartment storage units in the bed. truck ride is same as SUV counter counter part. dependable and low maintenance over the years of opperation. could use better gas milage compared to power output

Pros: versatile, dependable, low maintenance.

Cons: mediocre power

Love It — This was the first vehical i ever bought and new when i wore it out id buy another one. And i did but never wore it out they just had a newer model that i liked the interior style much better. But still all the other great fetures of the Avalanche.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Can do anything

Cons: Not a Thing

Love My Avalanche — A solid Chevy truck with unique twists. Store things in the "saddlebags," convert the midgate for more cargo room, bench seat allows me to take the whole family out for fun. Great support websites to find answers to almost any problem, issue, or upgrade.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Adaptable, Roomy, Unique, Solid, Proven, Online "support"

Cons: Big! Takes lots of gas, Some typical GM annoyances.

Good Truck, Not The Most Ideal "first Car" Considering How Much Gas It Eats Up But All In All Great — It is a nice truck, but there are many things I find were lacking in the quality and performance areas. The engine on doubt is weak, fun to drive but still weak. Brakes, tend to need a little extra push out on the drivers part to get the truck into a full stop. The liftoff and 0 to 40 acceleration is very poor when considering the amount of gas you guzzle by pushing the peddle past 45 degrees. Interior and exterior very customizable, can truly make it unique in every way which no doubt is awesome.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: You are a monster of the road, only thing that can take you down is a bus or bigger truck.

Cons: Guzzels gas like crazzzy

Will Be Getting Another One — Very comfortable, does not ride like a truck, with after market add ons it is very agressive on the road. Tows my travel trailer with very little effort, and I can still get a 4x8 sheet of plywood in it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: comfort and adaptation

Cons: fuel economy, but thats not why you buy a truck

Kim's Avalanche — I don't like the fact that I haven't been driving it yet. I love the fact that my husband has been too busy to get it done for me! I have driven it only home from when we purchased. I know that I love it except for I wish it had leather and a moon roof!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It will allow me to sit properly in my seat when we are all in it!

Cons: It's blue instead of red and not done yet.

The Worlds Only Driving Tennis Shoe ;) —

Lets be brief. Performance, you can stop the world from spinning with the acceleration in this beast and braking will get it spinning again, just a bit faster this time :) handling is better than you would think coming from a truck of this stature but you can take a corner at 50 MPH and not even feel it! Appearance, some say it looks like a tennis shoe while others thinks it looks like a rescue vehicle that can go anywhere! the inside is great as long as you don't go with the leather, you take that anywhere but the mall and your going to have the inside redone. Cost of ownership, if you have the 8.1 liter engine that I do it takes gas faster than you can fill it, unless you drive like a newly wed with a kid, then it gets pretty good mileage, maintenance is the same with every vehicle, if you don't take care of it it won't last to the next oil change, so I'm not going to say anything about that. Fun factor! Its a girl getter that's for sure! its like driving a viper with 1/8th the insurance and can hold twice as many people, plus you can take that certain some one to the mountains and look at the stars and not have to worry about getting it high centered.

Pros: handy, holds about anything you put in it, can go about anywere you want

Cons: Tires are a little too expencive, getting bolt on's in a pain

Great Vehicle For Long Family Trips, Great Wrok & Family Vehicle In One. — The Avalanche fits the bill very well. A great road trip vehicle and a good work truck when needed. Very comfortable. Not quite as long as an extended cab PU, and much shorter than a four door PU, but has more useable box space with the midgate down. I have driven this vehicle to Florida 3 X and never get tired driving it, very comfortable.

Pros: Great looks, versitile vehicle, great for using as a truck when you need it, or a family vacation hauler. Pulls my car trailer with ease. 5300 is a great engine/

Cons: Rear cargo covers are only water resistant, not water tight. Plastic parts should have been painted like the Escallade. Fuel penalty for such a big vehicle, but it's not too bad.

Great For The Two Months I Had It. — Hit a deer at 65, broadsided by a car going 65, rolled it, slid down the highway and no injuries. Makes it pretty good in my opinion.

Pros: Avalanche, nothing else to say

Cons: Color
