2004 Bmw 530i With Sport Package — Best ride quality of any car any class. Better than 750, or, in my opinion of the S series MB. I wish I had kept it. This 530 has made me seriously wonder why I would ever want the 545. There was great speed, accelleration, control, safety, great fun, great performance.

Pros: ride, accelleration, handling, fun to drive, solid looks, great quality, great service and support

Cons: none, really

My 530i — After driving domestic for over 40 years I switched to BMW and experienced the pleasure of driving a quality vehicle. The 3 litre engine is powerful enough on the highway and economical when driven at, or about the speed limit to give me 39 mpg. The overall quality is superb and the ride is very comfortable on long trips. The dealership is top quality and they treat you with due respect. The 5 is very much a great car to drive and handles well on all road types. The multitude of features makes it fun to operate. I'm always looking for a reason to drive anywhere so that I can enjoy it more.

Pros: Quality, safety, performance.

Cons: None so far in 73,000 km.

Bmw 2004 E60 525i — Love the car, there is nothing wrong withe car so far, only ware and tare stuff. For a big saloon the car is the best handling in its class. With a few mod the car is faster than alot of smaller cars. There are squeaks and other nosie but that what BMW do cos they make the best handling saloon cars. I love line of the E60, it will not out date for many years to come. Petro is very good cos the car is very light only 1550kg. I say the car is very fun and lively to drive would not drive any thing elas

Pros: very good handling, loads of room in the boot

Cons: the car will have some nosie over the years but hay it a BMW

Great Car! — Have loved this car since purchased new in late 2003. Love the way it drives, looks and feels. Use it for commuting to work and for travel. I put clients in my car all the time and it works great for showing real estate.

The Best Out Of This Class, But Needs A Bigger Engine. —

Interior is one of the most greatest I have ever been, everything is rock solid, and "half-leather" interior is stunning. Only problem is that I can't really relax and enjoy it, because I'm always making sure, that interior isn't getting messy. Exterior is known about its quite different style and it's splitting peoples opinions. I think it looks gorgeous but still very agressive and elegant. But, it isn't that good from every angle. There are few angles where from I don't like to see it. Believe me, it's not that pretty, looks something like a sandwich. Handling isn't anything new, the feel is really nice and sharp, but when you deactivate DSC, the fun begins. Sport chassis stiffens it up nicely and it's not too hard on this kind of vehicle. Back end of the exhaustion has been changed to alternative from Remus and it sounds nice and low. I have to admit that I have pulled about ~400m drifting from corner to corner in closed area, on a bit chilly, not icy road. It's so easy to keep in good angle and it gives just right amount of power to kick more out of it. But hey, more power is always needed and that's what this also needs. Overall impression is maybe the best car I have driven since now, but there's more yet to come. Just blowed front tyre from it and it's now standing on a donut, because there's no wheelshop open before christmas. Thank god, RPA warned me and pulled on side of the road. So no damage to the car or rim, only tyre got punctured. This didn't happen when I blowed tyre from our Renault Megane, I didn't realise it before it was empty.

Pros: Build quality, design, technology, handling, performance

Cons: Price, perfomance could always be better, no xenons in this one, dvd play
needs another slot-load drive

Lots Of Pheromones Emanating From This Car! — Not to much to say since I am looking to buy a 525i and my observations are from the test drive only..

Pros: WOW! Lexus is a more reliable car, cheaper to maintain but the BMW makes you want to wake up in the morning just to take a drive. Sheer fun at any speed!

Cons: Weird joy stick radio control that is not intuitive to the passenger. I am assuming that a passenger can turn the radio volume down! I have heard that the 2004 model had problems with electrical accessories that were fixed in 2005. I called the dealer and he said ther were no recalls or service bullitens addressing this. So either consumer reports is wrong, or you just got to live with a higher service cost.

Ultimate Driving Machine In New Mexico — Like riding on rails and training wheels, I love that. Acceleration is nimble, cornering stability is excellent. Climate control could be better especially as the weather warms. I would like to bring outside air at any temperature without having to open windows. Replaced the ac compressor at 98k miles which was still under warranty so I only dished out 50 bucks. Replaced all air hoses at 130k parts 75 bucks. 6 hours labor, no sweat. Easiest car ever to work on. I'm out of warranty obviously so I do all my maintenance. Replaced all front lights from time to time a little tedious but easy. Added first replacement new battery from Walmart 118 bucks December 2012, no problems whatsoever. When working on the brakes it is cheaper to put new rotors and pads from Bosh. Did all 4, cost 155 bucks. At 130k miles. It runs like new. I do all my oil changes now and general service. It's almost fun to do..

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Superb handling, very precise and responsive brakes.

Cons: Very low clearance, climate control could be better.
