It Will Put A Smile On Your Face. A Sleeper Sports Sedan For 4 Cyclinder, 4 Door Sedan Price. — This car is a great sports sedan. It's very fun drive and extremely reliable as well. I bought it used in September 2003 when it was about 1 year old. It's beginning to show it's age a bit but it's extremely reliable. I drive it to work every day and it does not require anythin beyond routine maintenance like oil, brakes and tires. Gas mileage is respectable at 20+ mpg in mixed driving (some highway, some city).

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Excellent performance

Cons: Few complaints. It's hard to get three young kids in the back seat. That's about it.

I Love Her, She's Fun. — Like the gas mileage, while still being "kinda" sporty. Has a decent aftemarket for it, you can build it as far as other cars like a mustang or camaro. And it still has the convenience of a four door for people who have friends. Only regret, auto.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It kicks the other cars asses in its class, from the factory obviously.

Cons: The paint quality is terrible, especially if you have a black one like me where every scratch is visible.

Want A Great Car, Buy A Nissan Altima!! — I love everything about this car! When it's time to buy a new one, I will buy another Nissan Altima. Easy to drive and handle. Love the speed! Car responds quickly! Great on gas, and as long as you keep up on regular maintenance, car will last for a long time!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Easy to handle and love the Bose system in the car!!

Cons: Other than costs for parts, nothing!

A Semi-sporty Workhorse For All Your Weekend Outings — Solid chassis. Somewhat cheap interior materials, mostly to not eclipse Infiniti G35. Motor feels powerful, but car seems to suffocate under 4000 RPM and lower than 50 MPH. Averages 20 mpg city, 25 highway. Not great, but not awful. Buy performance front shocks. The stock ones don't track well if they hit road variations while cornering. Trunk is huge and back seat is cavernous compared to same class cars, Accord and Camry.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Space, Comfort, Versatility

Cons: Handling, Gas Mileage

B+ —

The car has great performance, tons of power and great gas mileage. It handles very well and breaks well also with 4 wheel disc brakes. Mine received a new engine at 59,000 miles because part of the exhaust was sucked back into the engine and caused complete failure of the engine. Nissan paid for the engine and put me in a 2009 Altima rental car at no charge while the work was being done. Unfortunately 11 months after the new engine was installed the valve cover gasket failed causing an ignition coil to become saturated with oil and fail. You can not replace the valve cover gasket in a 2003 altima, you must replace the entire valve cover. Besides that i've had no issues with the build quality. The appearance is beautiful, great lines. When i bought the car used it had pinstripes running along the bodyline, why? it already has a line there, so i removed those. The major dislike i had was the front appeared higher than the back so i lowered the front 2" and have had no issues with ground clearance with 235/55 r17's all the way around. The car used to get 30 mpg with the original engine, but the "new" refurbished motor is all over the place from 21-28 but never the original 30. And I track every tank of gas for mpg. I use only synthetic oil and have had minimal maintenance costs. Overall I love the car, it looks great, has respectable performance and is fairly inexpensive to own. It feels great on the highway and on the back roads.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Performance + Fuel Economy = Perfect Package

Cons: two different interior doors do not latch anymore(on the console)

If You Want A Car That Your Kid Wants To Drive And Is Safe, Get The Altima. — The 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5S is an all around good performer when it comes to completing the task at hand. The four cylinder engine may not carry the grunt of the larger 3.5 liter V6, but it accelerates better than most of the other small engined, mid-sized sedans. With enough room for taller members of the family, the Altima is comfy for long trips. It's fuel efficient, and these days that means so much. Not to mention, it's sleek bullet type design is easy on the eyes. There aren't many negatives about this car, except for the occasional tail light issue. But, that's an easy fix, even for a novice. All in all, the 2003 Nissan Altima is at the head of the pack in its class.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Sturdy and fun, yet at the same time responsible.

Cons: Not for those who enjoy breaking speed laws.

Amazing! — I love my car!! It has a great "get up and go" and I love the sunroof. The motor runs very quietly. This model has the bigger engine in it so it does tend to guzzle gas. Other than that.... highly recommend!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fast and smooth

Cons: Gas guzzeler

Great Sleeper Car And Built Like A Tank — its a four door 350z, has great sound if u have the boes package , great interior quality and very fast for what it is. the cons are that its fwd, this car would be perfect with a 6 speed and rwd

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: 4dr that feels like a coupe

Cons: you and the rest of the world have it
