Mitsubishi Lancer — Fun to drive car. Wonderful handling. Meaty steering wheel and the weight feels just right for highway and city runs. Gear knob at the right spot. Comfortable to drive. Reliable Stylish Tons of options to modify the car to suit a variety of driving styles.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Handling and driving experience

Cons: Mileage

Listen To Your Kids. —

I have driven many cars in my day. A lot of these cars were brand new rightout of the box. When I bought this vehicle it was 2 years old. Now most of my vechicles you could say I lived out of them for I pretty well traveled most of my life for buisness being a week sometimes 2 or 3 weeks then home for a weekend and back on the road again on a Sunday start again the latest start of a week on a Monday.I have always said a driver must feel comfortable in vechicle for just the safety alone. For a comfort is the start of driving safely. My son talked me into the purchase of this car. I had a Plymouth Voyager as a family car at the time we were looking for another car. I believe it was a 1993 it had a Mitubishi Engine and you couldn't kill it.What that poor engine I put though should be against the law most meachanics would gave up on it. For a while 2 years to the date exactly it sat in a field started first click drove it for 2 months Highway milage included before I had a chance to get a oil change. This is when it was discovered the engine had the wrong dipstick and when it was propably checked she was down 3 litres of oil. Also with the the wrong dipstick in it. The engine would show of being full of oil when actually it was down 2 Litres. I do not know how or when the wrong was put it for the dipstick was a ford and at the time I never own a ford. Back to the Lancer I have never laid a wrench to this car except for regular maintence in 5 years. I do not care what anyone else says this is one fine built machine

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Handling, Comfort,Reliability just a safe car

Cons: I am going to have to give to my son when he goes to college and replace it.

A Sensible Choice For The Daily Commuter Who Wants A Little Fun In Their Ride. — A nice alternative to the all too common civic or corolla. I would describe the acceleration as adequate (hence 3 stars for performance). Handling has a definite sporty feel. Understeers quite predictably. Easy to drive at the limit. Smooth clutch operation, but shifter lacks the precision of a Honda‚Äôs. It shifts smoothly, but just not perfectly. Nice brake feel, easy to modulate. ABS really not necessary since the brakes have a very direct feel. So, this is a fun little car! Great mileage- 30+ on the highway. Just as with other small sedans, cost of ownership is very low. This is a practical, everyday car that has a bit of a sports car feel. If you are in the market for a civic, corolla, etc- don't forget to check out the lancer.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun to drive, economical, practical

Cons: Could use another 10 or 20 horses...

It's Hard To Be A Family Race Car — This car is a spectacular for the price I paid and fun too!! Bought it to replace my commuting/family car and got so much more. I enjoy taking corners and feeling like the rally race is just waiting to start.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: You're it's action-figure

Cons: It has to abide by speed limits

Great To Drive — I love how this car handles the road, and the corners. I don't like all the problems the car came with. The owner B4 me didnt take care of it. So I am now paying the price. Over all I love my Lancer. Wish it was the Evo tho.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Eye catcher

Cons: Expensive parts

Japanese Cars Are The Most Durable Ones — it is a nice, family car that you could use it to race it once in a while, excellent quarter of mile race car, just to have a little of fun. very low gas consumption, if you add it a good sound system, it could be a hell of a car

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: smooth ride

Cons: family car

I Love This Car — since my car is a 4 cylinder 5 speed it accelerates a little slow but i can still beat a 6 cylinder automatic in a race. the parts hold up very well and i love the look. my favorite part of my car is the gas mileage, i get about 35 MPGs.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun car with great gas mileage

Cons: Parts are sometimes difficult to come by

Very Sharp Looking! Suprisingly Fun To Drive And Economically Friendly! — I love driving this car. It was a great choice. Just needs more hp and a little street noise. I would like to upgrade to the 17 inch Enkei brand wheels like the Evo has.. Gas mileage is great, 27 city, 33 hwy!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sweet trim, inexpensive parts, reliable, great body control for a sedan!

Cons: Not enough horsepower, interior style
