Awesome Mini - Keep On Motoring. — I love this car but when it's paid off I plan to get a brand new one because I bought this one with high miles and am paying for it. The performance is great in terms of braking it stops on a dime, acceleration and handling are great even on snow and ice. I have repaired a few minor things but no major repairs. I love the appearance and ease of finding a parking space. The only complaint in the design is the cup holders are small and in the wrong place. Gas mileage is phenomenal and it is so much fun to drive. Can't wait for a new one with more power and a stick shift of course. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Everything about this car is awesome except the cost to repair it. Cons: Repair costs are higher since it's an import and finding a mechanic. ![]() Looking for a Used Cooper in your area?CarGurus has 3,987 nationwide Cooper listings starting at $1,999. |

Bmw Through And Through- High Quality — 215 hp through the front wheels is a little dicey at times (should have had limited slip as a option). Shifting was crisp and the supercharger whine after the upgraded air intake was installed was cool. Nice exhaust sound too with the JCW pieces. The OEM exhaust hangs in my garage as it actually a marvelous work of art. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: go cart go anywhere attitude Cons: if you need lots of room for stuff, this is not your ride. |

Mini Cooper S Rules! — The supercharger makes this car fast. It handles supremely, and can hug corners at 25+ miles over the recommended speed. It is cute~ and the gas mileage, especially for the performance is nothing short of amazing. The cost of maintenance has been reasonable. It is the most fun I have had in any car I have ever owned. Pros: Looks, handling and FUN factor Cons: If your can't stand heart-stopping fun. |

My Baby! — My last car was a BMW 3-series and, while the Mini doesn't seem as "solid" as the Beemer, is less powerful and less refined, it's a hell of a lot more fun to drive and the handling is OUTSTANDING. It's been reliable, great to drive around town or on the open road. I'd probably opt for the Cooper S next time just for the extra power. Great car that gets lots of comments. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Awesome handling! Cons: Needs more power. |

If You Don't Need To Carry Anything It's Really Good — good styling, reliable, good handling, lots of fun to drive. makes good power unless the A/C is on high. gets great gas mileage, about 35 mpg on average. so far no issues at almost 60,000 miles. interior is comfortable even for long trips. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: fun, fast, cheap Cons: almost no trunk space |

03 Cooper S — Rear torsion bars was bent and twisted bad after getting abit of hight on a hump back hill, was going abit too fast and on landed they twisted bad leaving my wheels bent inwards. Took to garage they said they never seen torsion bars twisted like that in 50 years and should be able to take jumps like that and old minis could take big jumps easy, conclusio. Weak torsion bars on minis watch out. Got a little bit of a heavy foot but I get 20mpg average drivin. Around not on motorway. Incar speakers could be louder, watch out for water tank leaking it's very common. Apart from those which mainly my fault anyway good looking car, exhaust sound sporty and deep with lots of revs pretty loud if u want it to be, amazing at corners, I try to loose grip but hard, normal corner 30mph or 45mp easy in a mini. traction control kicks in and saves u alot when needed, tip don't turn traction control off thinking u can drive. Kept up or beat lots of cars like Audi tt 225bhp version (cuz ouble exhaust) imprezas, z3 n BMW z4, and BMW m3. Hardest to keep up with was a ex cop car vectra v6 diesel with stuff police did to it, bigger turbo etc. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Amazing handling, nippy, sporty exhaust with revs or quite with low Cons: I get 20mpg average |

Fun — The engine is built like a race engine. It requires oil or it will spin a connecting rod bearing! I have not seen one actually break a connecting rod yet. The engine even has oil cooling jets for the pistons. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: FUN Cons: FUN |

Mini Has Huge Style — I wish that I bought the S. Little sluggish. Had a blown valve 08. This is shocking because I drive like a grandma. Rattles inside when cold. This is the car that Ive always wanted. I enjoy driving it. I finally have a car that fits my personality Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Kids always point and smile when they see it Cons: seat adjustments |

Get One And Keep It Forever! — My 2003 Mini Cooper is my fun daily vacation! It is very zippy and the "go cart handling" is true. Gas mileage is around 39 mpg and has only had a minor windshield wiper motor problem - once. I have a yellow with a white top. Wish I'd got racing stripes! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Fun Cons: Could use larger cup holders! |

Awesome — Performance: 0-60 in 7.0s and it sounds like a pretty song with the supercharger comes on around 3000 rpm. it is amazing. the looks of the car is one of the best out there and its handling it like a go-cart. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: handling Cons: expensive |
