2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Wagon FWDReview

It's An Old Style Car With New Tecnolagy — It's a good kind of cheep car. (Insurance is a bit pricey because they are so new.) Has an over all good performance. Can do speeds well and turns are smooth. Is a bit sensitive to the passengers moving from side to side. But the wide wheel base helps prevent it from tilting. Has a lot of room for a small car. Can fold down, fold up, or remove back seats for more storage room. Also the front passenger seat folds down to make 75" of storage room. (found out how much room when I put a coat rack in the car.)

Pros: Has lost of room inside for a such a small car.
Good wiring unlike the VW Beetle that is the same price but has system problems because of low quality manufacturing and designing.
Good turning radius.

Cons: Not much room in the trunk.
Is light weight so people playing jello in the back tilts the car a bit.
I have had some engine problems but it was a rental car before I got it so it's been through a lot of driving.
Engine is not the strongest but it can get up the mountains with out much trouble and keep up with a BMW M5 on the highway if wanted.
Has little or no storage room under the seats. (for like a fire extinguisher, or first aid kit.)

Handsome Retro Styling. — Although my car doesn't look entirely like the one pictured, mine has the full chrome trim package, interior and exterior, which really amps up the overall look. This car has loads of storage space, with 60/40 split rear seats and a fold down front passenger seat there is room for an eight foot ladder. Also great for transporting my 85 lb dog, too. She loves it!

Pros: Its a great looking car and has tonnes of storage space, up to an eight foot ladder due to the fold down front passenger seat.

Cons: Blind spots.  Initially a little difficult to overcome, but you adjust.

Emilie says:
Underpowered and narrow wheels make this tricky to drive in snow and ice. Cargo capacity is very generous. Drivers chair is a delight for people with low back chronic issues. Easy to park. Easy to maneuver. Responsive handling. Its a low-rider, which can be difficult in new snow over 8 or 9, Its also thrifty; my MPG on freeways and longer trips was generally in the 31-32 MPG and If I had a tail wind, Id get 35 or better.

Power Ranked 2017 Honda CR-V LX AWD better.
"More powerful engine, I believe. Thats usually the case, Id think."
Handling Ranked 2017 Honda CR-V LX AWD worse.
"The edges of the car are visible from the drivers seat, so you know exactly where your car is in relation to other cars, curbs, whatever. The CR-V does NOT give a clear view of the cars profile."

Front Seats Ranked 2001 Nissan Altima better.
"I like the sleek design in the car."
Back Seats Ranked 2001 Nissan Altima worse.
"Very roomy."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2001 Nissan Altima worse.
"The glove box is small and thats it. But the Nissan has more capacity and the trunk has room, and a little net to store small things that is nice. Its great. PT has lags room then the Nissan. Elbow is not to much room. But PT has very Elbow room and has a truck if you want to call that a trunk. Thanks again."
Value Ranked 2001 Nissan Altima worse.
"They both have good gas mileage and the way gas prices are going up these days. And the price was right. Thanks "
