Expensive Mistake ! — Nicest and most expensive vehicle we have ever bought. Flexfuel which is still a joke, very hard to find and then must be 85 cents less then regular to be worth the loss in milage... Now, the worst nightmare we have ever had... Towing our 30 foot lite camping trailer, it shut down to "safty" mode in the Poconos in Pa. Would only do 20 mph in safty mode, which meant not up the next hill on Rt 209..... A state trouper held traffic so ewe could back up to get a run on the hill and we made it to a parking lot for overnight. Next day, kicked out by local garage that owned the lot because they don't fix flex fuel vehicles !!! Had to have the kid drive 4 hours down to tow the camper with grandma and the golden home. Took me 10 hours to limp it home. Ended up solving myself when no computer check could.... Dirt build up between radiaters do to local street construction !!!! Fixed with my own hose !!!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Never buy another one, unless older before computer/flex fuel crappe !

Cons: yea, really

The Largest Vehicle On The Planet?? Or So Chevy Claimed Back In '03. — My 2003 Chevy Suburban Z-71 has been a great vehicle for anything from the short commute to work to the long haul pulling a trailer for vacation, and especially for completing home remodels. Even though I have carried all kinds of building material in the back, the vehicle is still very clean. Performs great in all weather.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Roominess, ability to get you there in the worst weather.

Cons: It's a bit of a gas guzzler...

Dependable Truck — love the way it drives, handles great, ABS lights suck, looks great except for the huge dent in the back drivers side, very very expensive, cost about 84.00 to fill up at 2.79 a gallon, driven to Canada, Mexico, California and plan on driving it to Colorodo this summer.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: lots of room for kids

Cons: gas

I Will Always Drive A Chevy Or Gmc Truck Product. — This BIG FORMAT SUV was a necessity for a family of 6. We take family trips together and at this size usually means a long drive. We go in comfort and security. The fact that we are on a Chevy Truck chaasis is also of great benefit!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I will always be a Chevy/GMC man!

Cons: Not kind to the wallet if you are mizerly on gas.

Outstanding! — I Love My Truck! You can do anything in it! Great for Trips, Rides smooth and accelerates great! I ordered my truck in 2003, It was listed for 42K. I paid 35K, got the rocker panel on it, Windows tinted and whole under carriage coated, all for the price of 35K. I love driving it! Turns on a dime!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Comfortable and Dependable

Cons: There is not any reason not to own Surburban!

Awesome Suv — Awesome family rig. Hauls up to 10,000 lbs with no issues. We have the 7 passenger version and everyone is comfortable. Love the handling and performance of this truck. Best performance has been 12liters/100Km which is approx 20mpg. I have towed a 5,000lb boat through the Rocky Mountains with this truck and had no issues what so ever. Temperature gauge never got over the mid level.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Fit and finish is great, very solid vehicle and nimble around town.  Great on the highway and is a superb family mover.

Cons: Gas mileage.  But it's a big rig

It's Very Reliable And Has Good Gas Mileage. — It goes really fast and the braking and handling is great. No repairs are needed except for the windshield wipers need to get repaired (you need to take out the fuse to stop them). Soft cushion seats and a nice beige exterior. Gas mileage is great and maintenance fees are very low. It is very fun to drive especially when going on a long road trip.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's big and makes you feel powerful!!

Cons: The windshield wipers are going wack.

Its Ok — the performance is ok. acceleration from 0-60 is about 7 or 8 seconds. apperance is not really the greatest. the cost of it is about 40 grand new. gas milage is about 18 on highway and about 13 or 14 in town.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: room

Cons: gas milage

Eh — Drove this after our other suburban felt like having another transmission die after a plowing season. Sounded great except for the engine would tick sometimes. Pretty fast SUV, handled great. Would love to have another one sometime in the future.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks and drives great

Cons: Transmission blows.
