I think the 50th anniversary Corvette is a very special car. The technology to price ratio is very attractive in addition to last of Corvette pop-up headlights and round brake lights. I would stay away from the adaptive suspension option ( to temperamental and expensive to fix)... but after that I feel this is the perfect car.

Low mileage, cosmetically sound, minor mechanical issues, fair price.

Great fun to drive, but have not had a chance to take the top down here in rainy western Washington State. Just starting the engine and hearing the authotatative rumble is a hoot.

Awesome Car — If you want to look rich for not alot of money get a Gen 5 Corvette. I get so many compliments its crazy. You can also get into any auto show you want and compete if you own one. Lots of friends to be made owning one of these.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its a corvette:) American Classic

Cons: Transmissions that came stock tend to burn up but the replacement ones from GM fix the issue. Costs to replace 3 to 4k. After the replacement however the car runs like a dream

Awsome Car — Ive owned 6 Corvettes in the last 58 years, and the C5 Z06 was so far ahead of the competition in the early 2000s. It will still hold its own with many new cars . Fun to drive, fast and great handling. Buy a clean one with low miles and have some fun

Pros: Great cars, fun to drive and really handle

Cons: None

Great Car — I love this car so much, I have wanted a Corvette my whole life and I figured what the heck just get it, its only just another payment I could be gone tomorrow so just go for it and have fun!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The best thing is the speed and all gauges project onto the windshield so you never have to look at the dash the speed is in your face at all times so it keeps you in check and not go balls out.

Cons: A little scary when the top is down and there is a lot of traffic and 18 wheelers are right next to you being so low to the ground.

We Love This Car! — This is a special-purpose vehicle. It's great for taking on vacation, or running around on the weekend. It looks great, is fun to drive and has a removable T-top so we can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine (or moon and stars) when the weather is nice. This is not a car you want to drive in really bad weather. It's meant for racetrack conditions, not winter roads.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: We love this car! It looks good and is fun to drive and even just to ride in while my husband is driving.

Cons: This is not a big car, so it's not great for family or for carrying a lot of stuff.

Love It — The only negative that I can think of is it is not a commuter car, hence the low miles. Shifting into first and second gear (because of traffic) tends to get tiresome, but on the open road with the top down, look out!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun to drive, especially in canyon passes

Cons: Kids in college, the vette needs to go....so much for my midlife crisis

Fast And Fun Yet Economical — Acceleration and braking are incredible, just as easy to stop on a dime as it is to merge onto any freeway in a short distance. Very comfortable cockpit for a two seat performance vehicle and decent storage for bags/ suitcases.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great performance vehicle with good looks and can be used as a daily driver, even though I use as a pleasure ride only. Great mileage for a performance car - 27.5 mpg across Montana and it could be higher with a lighter foot.

Cons: Very noisy cabin with the Eagle tires and glass top, easily improved with Michelins and other top.

All Corvettes Are Red. — This was a really nice car. Great performance and handling. My wife really liked it. Nice oak interior. Didn't like the auto shifter, I really like my new 6 speed. Only sold it because my daughter needed money for college and she got married so we needed money for the wedding. I thought I would be happy with the cheaper 79 but that just didn't happen. Now I have my black 03 with the 6 speed and couldn't be happier. Maybe a Z06 would be nicer, but they don't have tan interior and I don't race around enough to need the extra horsepower. If I ever sell the black one it will be for a Z06. But overall, the red one sold me on the C5's. Have driven the C'6s and the seem bulky or fat.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great car, ran good, no problems.

Cons: Hot inside, ended up buying a matching color roof panel.
