M3 Review — Like: Six Speed SMG Transmission, rear-wheel drive, M-Branded limited slip differential Suspension. Cornering brake control, DSC - Traction Control, Adrenaline Rush, and Ride Quality.0-60 under 5 second with Redline going up to 8000 rpms. Dislike: GAS Mileage..but comes with the territory.

Really Fun To Drive When Wet Outside — this car is light and fast and it drifts perfectly but the best of all is that its a convertible the bad thing is the price and the insurance on it.

Pros: looks amazing and drives amazingly well

Cons: you need big bucks to fill it up pay insurance and keep it looking sexy all the time

Fun And Quick. — A friend bought this car. I drove it and was surprised at how responsive it was. To expensive for me considering that seemed to be the high point along with looks. interior seemed like it was average.

Pros: Great Engine and instant response to acceleration

Cons: Seemed expensive considering the interior was very plain.

M3 — I test drove one of these back in September. It was a clean, low km model for sale at a local Toyota dealer. I took it for a twenty minute test drive around the city and a short blast in the freeway. While the car was very nice, it did not meet my expectations. I've lusted after these cars looks for about five years (especially in Laguna Seca Blue) and I had read many great reviews. I was expecting more of a "wow" factor, I guess.

Pros: It's a BMW M3.

Cons: Too expensive...I'd rather spend less on an Infiniti G35 Coupe M6.

Great Car — One of my favourite cars to date, rock solid just a bit too harsh on the back roads.

Pros: Great pickup and a wonderful growl.

Cons: Jerky SMG gearbox

Beast — Overall the E46 M3 is a great car. I'm actually looking forward to purchase another. Except, hardtop coupe this time. Its fast, amazing handling, sounds great, and not bad on gas consumption. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Best car out there in my opinion (aside from the E30 M3 hehe).

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Anything and everything. Literally.

Cons: Nothing. Car is perfect :')

I Love This Car — What more can you say about this car? Having driven all of them, I think the E46 M3 is the best balance of power/weight, handling and looks of all the M3s. The SMG transmission takes a little learning, but after that it's fantastic. Driving this car is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.... Three years after I first wrote this review, I still have this car and I still love it. With the top down at intersections, people tell me how great it looks. It's still just really fun to drive. I don't drive it every day, but the only major maintenance expense has been $600 to repair a failed gear in the folding top mechanism. I have driven many high performance cars, some faster, some more exotic but nothing better balanced. The brilliance is in the integration of all the things that matter.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Beautiful, fast, fantastic handling, and my golf clubs fit in the trunk

Cons: Have to learn the SMG
