Best 4500 I Ever Spent. — The car just keeps on going.. I have had it for about 8 months now and am nearly 50+ thousand miles deep. 2002 with 168,000 miles. I run synthetic oil every 5,000 and it has to be the most reliable car I have ever owned. Occasionally the coilpacks go out (every 30,000 or so) but, they are easy to swap and not too expensive and the car runs until they arrive. I drive 80+ everywhere I go and with the original motor, turbo, and all original drive-train Im amazed that it still responds instantly to my demands. Luckily my car was taken care of and I think she will go 300K+ before she gets a swap.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Smooth acceleration, good gas mileage even under boost. Reliabe

Cons: Coil packs, sludge if use cheap oil

This Care Is A Maintenance Nightmare, But It Sure Is Fun To Hear The Turbo Whine! — Do ever buy a Volkswagen. I have heard nothing but horror stories which I only found out about after I had to replace thousands of dollars worth of parts every couple of months to years! Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great fuel milage.

Cons: Very expensive maintenance nightmare!

Tdi=awsome — My mother's second car, i got to take it for alittle spin, and i must say it's very nice to drive, this one is the 5spd diesel, witch because of its really low end torque is extreamly hard to stall, making it an exelent car for first time stick shift driver's. Overall i really like this car, it's good looking and rather cool for what it is.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Easy to drive, Exelent fuel mileage, Comfortable, Cool, Fun to drive, Large trunk, Turbo charged.

Cons: Lack of rear head room,(I'm 5'7" and my hair was grazing the ceiling in the back) Noisey, Slightly hard ride.
