2002 Volkswagen Golf GL TDIReview

Great Car, Would Recomment It To Anyone — Really great car, have helped many friends move with this car. Very versatile. Almost made it to vancouver on one tank with this car(made a few detours along the way). My favourite car that i have ever owned. This car is not for someone who is cheap. These cars are only for people who can appreciate a Volkswagen, and respect it! Pros: Versatility, fuel economy Cons: maintenance costs were a little higher than say a civic. |

Good Car, But Lot Of Flaws Over The Years — The Golf is a good car, but a bit of a grey mouse. You see so many of them it doesn't feel special to drive one. Over the years I had a lot of problems with it, specifically with the clutch, the exhaust and electric components like switches and the sat nav system. Pros: Quick and easy to handle. Good view to the back. Cons: Problematic, poor support from VW dealers. |

It Was Ok Transport — Needed a car after selling the Bora, and this was on the yard. Meant to be a short-term thing but ended up having it over a year. After the "plush" of the Bora, this was a bit rough - a poverty pack 5spd manual! But it got me around. Pros: It was cheap to run. Cons: Light beige interior with kids - very bad move. |
