Sleek, Smooth, Comfortable Ride — I love the heated seats for winter time & all wheel drive is a bonus when driving in the snow. Sun/moon roof for the best weather options. The feel & look of the car are very comfortable & sleek. There is a large trunk to hold lots of luggage & supplies from shopping.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Car has excellent pick up & a great driving/handling experience. Brand new high performance tires & rims offer a great ride & look as well.

Cons: I have 3 other cars so don't have time to drive this one every day.

My Ideal Car — This car gets an overall "A" from me. This is my husband's and mine 2nd BMW of the 3 series and after driving this make and model I think we will stick with this series. This is a great overall vehicle: good looking, safe, reliable and a great driving machine. For such a small, sleek car, it can fit a lot of things thanks to the back seats that fold down. I think it's worth the cost and a slightly higher maintenance because overall it's similar in cost to other cars in it's class.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love this car because of the way it handles, especially in the winter. This is a great driving machine. It's very safe, reliable and it does great on slippery roads, in heavy rains or snow. A+ for that. The 4 wheel drive is a definite advantage. The engine is great and it's a pleasure to drive. I love the body style and look and it's very comfortable on the inside as well.  I think it's a good looking car, very sleek.  The memory seats make it easy to share this car with my husband.  The heated seats are a saver in the winter and the sunroof is great for the hot days.

Cons: A little bit pricy on the maintenance and repairs. I only use premium gas and oil in it, which also adds to the cost. I had an extra key made and that was $300.  It uses a bit more oil then our 1989 3 series, surprisingly. The cons however are fewer then the pros in my opinion.

Solid Car — I used this car to commute 160 mile a day round trip for several years. I regularly got 35mpg (95% Highway miles). The car was powerful and responsive. I drove the car to about 150,000 miles with very few maintenance issues. Repairs were expensive compared to other cars but due to the fact there were not many I would not consider it an issue. the car was extremely comfortable and stylish. I drove it regularly in winter conditions and was extremely impressed with the way the traction control worked in the snow. This was contrary to what I had previously heard about BMW's in the snow. Unfortunately I was involved in a fairly serious accident in my car on the way to work one morning, both cars were totaled. Amazingly no one was seriously hurt, I walked away from the accident and actually made it to work that day (Late) but with nothing more than a few scratches on my face from the airbag. I can not say enough about this car's performance, reliability and most of all safety.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Safety, Reliability, Quality, Comfort and Style

    Cons: Repair Cost, Premium Gas

Sporty Sedan — There's just something about getting behind the wheel of this car; you instantly feel in command of the road. This car inspires confidence in multiple driving scenarios, with it's all wheel drive system, it continues to handle well in both rainy and snowy conditions.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Design and finish.  Great handling and acceleration.

Cons: Gas mileage is poor, but it's likely related to the angle of my foot on the pedal.

My Dream Car — I have been dreaming of having a BMW since I graduate. After I got my first salary, my first thing was to check online and visit the dealers around my town. Then I ended up this cute boy. He is my dream, my muse, my memory of my youth.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fast, reliable, smooth car. You can have the pleasure of driving. Especially manual transmission is a passion, not everyone loves it.

Cons: Expensive spare part, but as long as you drive carefully, you won't need a spare part.

I Love It! — All in all I can't complain. This car is great. Good handling...excellent handling! The power in the high end of rpm is good. It runs a little hard when it is hot outside and loses power but In the cold purrs like a kitten. Handling is even better when lowered and added suspension.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Good handling. Decent power for the year and make. Fun to drive!

Cons: Could have a little more power in the low end

2002 330ci — Great car for the money, my budget was under 10K and I think that was the best choice. Purchased from a local used car dealer with the inspection done before. Had it for 14 months and very happy with it.

    Pros: handling and look

Cons: do not really brake but maintenance is pricy

Quality That Is Bmw. — Easy to work on if needed. This My third Bmw. That should say it all. This car is all performance. Handling is beyond impressive. nice acceleration on the highway with quick response. Perfect Summer Car!!!! So open the sun roof and drive baby, Drive!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Its a BMW proformance quality perfect sport/proformance (yes there is a difference).

Cons: The color, White is OK but too plane jane for me. The tan interior is gets dirty fast, so be aware you will love the car but to keep it beautiful you need to deep clean the interior at least once a year

Great Car. You Won't Know Til You Drive A Bmw. — The only thing I didn't like was the cost. lol Who wants to pay over 40K for anything. I am so glad i did. Its the best car i ever owned and I still only have 52,000 miles on it.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Love this car!  Solid, fun to drive especially in spring and fall New England weather.

Cons: Cant drive it in winter, salt would eat the soft top alive.

Dissappointing - But I Have High Standards I Guess — Already mentioned in pros and cons. Overall I would not buy this car again. I really like the look of it, really a nice looking wagon. But there are minor issues that drive me nuts about it and the one BIG issue of the engine overheating. Which, apparently, is a problem in all E46 model engines. Look, I really respect BMW as a brand and I respect their efforts to bend the rules and push their cars to be the best, but the specificity of the cars is what kills me, honestly. This is a terrible thing to say because you should love uniqueness and specialty, but I guess I just like to find those qualities in the interior... not in the engine. LOL. I'm lame I know... but all I really ask for is a reliable, safe, fun car and this one just hasn't been it. Hopefully I start liking it better soon though, because I am stuck with it for a while....

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a beauty... even with the minor damages I bought it with (and the later damage caused by my boyfriend! ugh). The BMW wagon is by far the best looking wagon out there. And the power is great. Handling would be 5 stars but it I have a hard time with the suspension (it's a little rigid for me) and my car has a weird alignment issue that seems impossible to fix. Love all the features - leather heated seats, power everything, sunroof, etc.

Cons: The biggest by far - engine reliability. The thing seized after only two months of driving while on it's first road trip... grrr.. do your research before purchasing a car (especially a used one!! And be patient!!). Also, radio gets terrible reception. The AC fan is really loud, probably needs replaced, and the driver seat belt tensioner doesn't work. Of course, these are all in MY car. Except the sensitivity to overheating due to aluminum head and the radio reception. ALSO seats are incredibly uncomfortable!!
