It Was My First Car — I think that this car is solid. I enjoyed it while I had it. The 2.4l DOHC I4 is solid and runs well. However, the interior build quality is terrible. It is cheap and reminds me of motel quality carpet. It is obvious that the majority of the build cost was put into the drivetrain. Even though it is FWD, it is still possible to wrech and do your own repairs. You just have to be more careful and have a variety of tools.

Pros: Solid engine and transmission, good gas milleage, and roomy for a mid-size sedan.

Cons: I4 engine too big for great MPG and too small for great HP/MPH. Interior build quality

Fun Car, Good Solid V6 — I love this car. Great to work on. 3.4L 3400SFI V6 under the hood. stage 3 air intake, Hyper-ground kit, ecu upgrade, exhaust, and that's just the start. Running a 1600 watt amp with two 12 inch subs and two 10 inch subs.

Pros: everything but the tranny

Cons: no V6 with a stick

Not Spectacular But Comfortable, Reliable And Moderately Powerful — Decent car - lacks horsepower compared to most cars in its class but has served me well for over six years.

Pros: Great handling, road feedback.

Cons: Poor build quality in a few areas - Lower intake manifold gasket replacement is VERY expensive and almost all will fail on GM cars of this age.

Great Car — I had a few problems with car after purchasing in 2003. My computer went out 2 times before it was finally replaced and properly programed. Apparently, there was a recall on the computers and they were to be reprogramed. My first mechanic was oblivious but the second fixed it. Both were certified GM and Pontiac mechanics too. Once the problems were fixed, it has been a wonderful car. Things tend to break off and stop working. Other than that, it is a great car, sporty and smooth riding!

Pontiac — I NEED MORE POWER, but for a 4 cyl this car is awesome, id say its looks and power is above most 4 cyls, and I highly like the interior, hope to move up to a firebird sometime, but pontiacs are a good make in general ive shifted it manually before, lotta fun and beating rice in a 4 door is awesome lo

Pros: ABS, Traction conrol

Cons: electrical problems, all good now though

None — After putting on new tires, 3 front bearings, a tie rod, 4 sets of pads and 2 rotors; I found out the calipers were shot, the power steering was hemorrhaging fluid, and the transmission had a leak. Oh yeah, the cylinder head had a little leak as well. It was a great ride, but I had to let it go.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: none

Cons: none
