Bin The Best Suv We Have Owend — We like the Expedition because it fits the hole family and its 4wd. It also has a sun roof and backup sensors wich helps to keep my wife from hitting any thing. Only thing wrong is I need to put a trany in it soon.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: it has a sunroof

Cons: needs a trany

Exelent Truck To Own — I Love my expedition, the ride is awsome, for a heavy truck it flyes, nothing like riding high, there is 1 thing i don't like, The gas mileage, thats what happens when you drive a real truck,5.4 liter triton

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: everthing

Cons: gas mileage

Straight — It takes of slow, and it only gets about 12 miles per gallon in the city. It gets 15 miles per gallon on the highway. i love the automatic 4 whell drive. It comes on by itself if the ground is wet.

Pros: size

Cons: miles per gallon

Great Truck. — As far as performance goes it is fairly decent for its size. fuel economy isn't that great but the truck will take you anyplace you want to go and will bring you back out as well. as far as maintenance goes i havent had any problems with the motor the motor in my truck is the 5.4L 330 V8 it is the original motor and it has 115,000 miles on it and is still running strong. the only problem i have had with this vehicle is the exhaust mannifolds. after time the studs holding your manifold to the block will brake off in the block and have to be tapped or drilled out. (Not Fun)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Real Solid Truck.

Cons: None

Best Truck Ever — great 4 wheel drive suv with tons of power and styling. eddie bauer is the way to go leather all the way. the truck knows no limits and sows it by kicking any chev ass, and leaving no survivors to tell.

Pros: 5.4L V8

Cons: fuel consumption

Overall A Nice Vehicle — It doesn't handle bad for something so large, but after driving a smaller car most of the time the braking leaves a little to be desired. It's nice and roomy, but with a V8 engine eats gas like you wouldn't believe! Accelerating to go around someone on the interstate can make the gas gage drop almost 1/4 of a tank.

Pros: Lots of leg room.  Smooth ride.

Cons: Less than 12 miles to the gallon on gas.

A Monster For A Reasonable Price. — This can be a family car or a cheap Escalade. This car can be reliable if you take care of it. Good for long trips with your family or friends or to impress your gf. Very compstable and secure. The fuel economy is abismal and requires planning before to make a braking.

Pros: Size, good interior, cargo room, good engine, can be reliable, good if you have a big family or a lot of friends.

Cons: Fuel economy is a pain in the neck, bad braking (car's weight), not worthed for a singles and couples.

Not Bad For A Ford — Eddie Bauer makes it fairly luxurious, only one major gap on right side of dash. Nice sound system with sub. 4.7 V8 has about 300 ft/lb torque and only about 200 hp which makes it kind of slow but when you usually drive a car with only 95 hp it seems very impressive. You still get pushed back in you seat if you punch it. B/c 2wd ride is very smooth. Bucket seats in middle are very nice. Bottom line is not a bad suv but are others that are better(toyota sequoia, landcruiser, saturn outlook, honda pilot, mb gl). But for the low price it is worth it.

Pros: ride, speakers, bucket seats, roominess, leather, keyless entry, power seats, dual climate zone, this year and model is reliable, price

Cons: gas mileage, little underpowered engine (most ford truck engines are even today), size

2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4wd — Plenty of room even though I am 6'5". I just bought it so I am hoping that it will have no mechanical issues. I took it to a mechanic prior to the sale and he said it is a great vehicle. So I am loving it right now.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: My son and I are both tall. I am 6'5" and he will probably grow to 6'8" or so. This vehicle has plenty of room for us both. I love 4WD and being able to take it on the Outer Banks, NC beaches.

Cons: Gas
