I Love It, Great Car. — only that it's gas is a little to much for me other than that i love the car, its fast, reliable, and great looking what else more could you want in a luxury car. Would always stick with bmw cars

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: reliable, great looking, runs amazing, fast, luxurious

Cons: Gas and maintenance cost (but its a bmw so that is expected)

The Ultimate Cruising Machine! — This was a great car to own. Performance was excellent from the 3L in-line six. Handling was great and was enhanced by having offset tires (wider rear tires). It did need repairs over the 5+ years I had it but the build quality was excellent - hardly any squeaks or rattles at 10 years old. Overall, a fun car to drive. It definitely weighed into my decision to buy the 7 series I have now.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Everything!!

Cons: Nothing!!

When It's Clean You Can Lie About Its Age — 40mpg if you're careful but usually 33mpg. Quiet, efficient, reliable and gets you where you need to go quickly and without fuss. Excellent interior on SE. Could do with a sixth gear. Not the most exciting car to look at or drive but impressive top speed more than adequate with so many cameras around these days. Nice to have a sun roof too.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 143mph

Cons: Tailpipe

A True Ride To Own — performance: braking and acceleration are great fun factor: you can do what ever you want you get there in stle and also you can use the speed and have the comfort you want i can take this care to 150 mph and drive it and it will just as smooth and comfortable at 70mph and handles the same that what i love about my 525 I and also the fuel economy i know it says 25 mpg and that not true depends on how u drive cause i was getting that at 120 mph at 80 mph it was at 32 mpg!!!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: YOU WONT KNOW UNLESS YOU BUY ON!!!!

Cons: it not easy to see out of

Last Generation Of Bmw 5 Series Made In Germany! :( — What can I say, the car is amazing!! everything anyone has ever wanted in a TRUE drivers Sedan, Nissan states the Maxima as a 4D sports car, I DON"T think so compared to a 540i sport. This car truely is one that if you've driven and own one chances are you still own a BMW , there is nothing else out there that handles, rides comfortably and still gets VERY respectable fuel mileage especially for a 4.4L V8. Now for the Cons, well come to think of it besides the darn headlights needing replacing and cooling system, it's been a very rock solid car!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Quiet, powerful, comfortable all that anyone would expect to get from a BMW.

Cons: Headlights needed to be replaced because of broken adjusters for Self-Leveling unit.

An Excellent Car For The Daily Commute. — *Performance: Plenty of power for most situations and handles very well for its size. *Quality: Overall the car is very well built, but it has had it's fair share of problems; Most of them minor and common for an older car *Appearance: One of my favorite things about the car. The styling of both the interior and exterior is timeless. *Cost: Once you get past the killer BMW maintenance costs, this car requires generous amounts of premium-grade fuel. *Fun: Most of the time you want to drive it like a boring businessman... But if you feel like having fun this car has plenty of it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Smooth ride, classy styling, comfortable, and has plenty of power.

Cons: It's beginning to show signs of age; interior is beginning to have some flaws, a few minor problems with electronics, and coolant leaking. Mostly age-related problems

Awsome Driving Machine — awsome driving machine. When you sit in the vehicle the seats hug your body corning is just so smooth and the way it handle. I also have a M3 and a 318is which are also very good vehicle for BMW but I think that the 540i takes the cake on handling power and overall speed.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Driving , power and handling

Cons: nothing
