Fun, Eye Catching, Fast Bug Reflex Yellow — Fun, eye catching, fast bug. Great Reflex Yellow color. This car was fun and always had people looking. Have to love the bug culture and the people. Just plain fun and peppy and hippyish... gotta love that. Great gas mileage. Negatives: huge dashboard and front windshield, sunshades often useless, bad turning radius

Pros: Just plain fun and peppy and hippyish... gotta love that.  Great gas mileage.

Cons: huge dashboard and front windshield, sunshades often useless, bad turning radius

Fun Fishbowl — I bought this car the first year the New Beetle came out. Surprising pretty roomy and comfortable on the inside. At the time it was rare and definitely turned a lot of heads. It had it first year car whoas. Power windows has issues, steering wheel paint came off on my hands, seats look tattered after only a few months of ownership. I suspect most of these issue have been ironed out by now. This was fun car to own.

Pros: Fun to drive, very stable on the highway, quiet and had a great interior for the price.

Cons: Small trunk. Engine components difficult to access for work. A little too low for snowy Chicago streets.

High Altitude — I live at 9000 feet and the diesel fuel likes to gel at below 0. At some point I will need to install an engine heater. This vehicle is my second to date I also own a 2003 which runs incredible. The 2000 has also got some turbo issues as if cuts out and loses power.

Owner for 0 years, 6 months

Miles Driven per Year:72,900

Pros: fuel milage

Cons: low clearance

Love The Beetle's Get Up And Go, But Not The Little Things Which Seem To Be Broken! — There are a few things which have gone bad on this Beetle (I bought it used), but overall it runs great, is very peppy and is line green.

Pros: It's pick-up and go energy, the size of the vehicle (inside and out)

Cons: It's alarm system when you don't have a remote!!

Great Car -- I Like It — great gas mileage (about 40MPG) and cruising range(500+ miles), 5speed is fun to drive, does great on curvy mountain roads. maintainence is fairly cheap, but Parts are outrageously expensive when you do have to buy them. its turbo diesel power surprises people on the inside and outside == just rolled 200K miles and took it on a 1000 mile trip -- this is such a great car!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: great gas mileage and cuteness

Cons: price of repairs

It's A Great Little Car. — This car is beautiful in and out. It rides beautifully and has almost new tires. It's got a great gas mileage. It's very safe little car to drive around and it has a beautiful silver color in and outside of the car. It also has a cold A.C.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It a great car in and out.  It rides beautifully and has almost new tires.  It's got a great gas mileage.  I call it a Flying Beatle.

Car was giving to me needs a water pump and a new battery and a couple of back tires. Its a 5 speed with a 1.8 Turbo in it and it will fly. Fun to drive but have a feeling its going to end up being a costly one to keep fixing but if it gets me to from A to B and it was free to being with, I will not complain.
