Tundra Review — Doors don't stay open, the rear doors are hard to open in tight spaces, mileage isn't so hot. Its a great truck and handles and rides better than a lot of sedans out there.

Awesome Truck — For the first year this truck was made, there were a lot of questions on how it would perform. As to date, I have had no major issues with this truck, and I use it as a daily driver. It looks good, and drives well. I am more than satisfied with my truck, for going on 8 years.

    Pros: Solid Truck

Cons: Doesnt have all the fancy new features that the new ones do.

185k And The Workhorse Is Still Going Strong — I purchased this truck for drywall and have really put it through the ringer. It has served me well and continues nearly problem free to plod along.

    Miles Driven per Year:24,000

Cons: The owners manual could be a lot more helpful.  Too much time on diff. radio and how to play a cassette, not enough on how to chase down minor but common problems.

I Wanna Tundra — I love my Tundra. I bought it 2 years ago and have had a lot of fun with it ever since. I especially like how well it handles "off the beaten path". It's comfortable and roomy (enough for me) and seats 5 just fine. I wouldn't trade it in for anything - except a new Tundra (of course).

Owner for 2 years, 6 months

    Miles Driven per Year:14,000

Pros: Smooth body panels. Nice paint job.

Cons: Slightly smaller than your average full size pickup truck.

Great Truck — Our Tundra has 90,000 miles on it and it still drives and rides like it did on the first day. Zero problems with the truck, it is a workforce and has never failed us.

Quiet Comfort On Or Off Road — I was looking for a truck that fit my style and the Tundra nailed it. It has been the most reliable daily driver I have ever owned. I really like the quiet cabin and the fact that it will haul anything I dish out. If you are really looking to fill the rear of the truck I would suggest an air ride system. this truck really looks great even after twelve years. Ask any tundra owner if they like their truck, you'll see.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Super Quiet inside and handles great

Cons: may be a little overpowered for commuting

The Original Tundra — Performance - accelerates well for a 1/2 ton, upgraded brakes help, handling? its a pickup Build Quality - great! Nothing breaks that I can't fix in an afternoon Appearance - I think it looks damn good Cost of ownership - maintenance is cheap, gas mileage is nothing to brag about (13/18), but its a truck Fun factor - I can make almost any car fun to drive as long as it is has some power!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great sized pickup, off-roads well

Cons: Gas mileage is nothing special

Well built, and tough. 250K and counting. Very good ride on rough/gravel conditions. Usual winter is 120-200 of snow, never been stuck where I could not drive out. Built to last.

Power Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline worse.
"Tundra is a V8 vs Honda V6. Lots more torque in the Tundra.."
Handling Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline worse.
"Both handle well, but in rough road conditions the Tundra always felt more stable/substantial."
Looks/Style Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline better.
"Really a better vehicle for 4 persons than the Tundra. More room to carry passengers and their stuff than what is available in the Tundra"
Front Seats Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline better.
"They are individual seats with very good support. The Tundra seat while still in good shape after 250K are just not as comfortable, or as supportive and adjustable."
Back Seats Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline better.
"Full size seats vs seats for smaller beings that you may not necessarily like a lot."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline better.
"The Honda has a cargo area that is under the truck bed. It is well sealed, lockable, and holds an amazing amount of gear. The tailgate of the Honda also swings sideways to allow easier reach into the truck bed or will fold flat for access. an ice feature."
Family Car Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline better.
    "It seats 4. In comfort."
Value Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline worse.
"It comes down to miles and condition. Though the Tundra is a more dated design, and the Honda design has not changed very much."
Would Buy Ranked 2006 Honda Ridgeline worse.
"For older vehicles it comes down to miles driven and condition. Mechanically the Tundra is in better shape at @ 250K than the Ridgeline at 160K. based on the gravel and dirt roads that I routinely drive on."
