Pontiac Did Something Right With The Gtp. — This car was fully loaded and perfect in every way. This was my first love. Perfect balance of practicality and power, wicked fun to drive. trunk was HUGE which helped with camping gear! Comfortable for long drives and passengers had plenty of room.

Pros: sexy and practical.

Cons: None.

Our First Car, Not My Favorite But The Husband Bought It. — Never has left us stranded. We owned it for over 7 years now still runs well. Planning on selling or trading in to get a newer car with better gas mileage. Paid for long time ago. Silver exterior grey interior.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable

Cons: Gas Mileage is poor for a car.   V6 to blame.

Buy It Now! — Well first off we will go with looks the car is sexy it has the perfect curves and shape to her. The inside on mine is leather so its extremely comfy. The over all build of the car is solid no issues at all. Gas mileage is about 20-24 MPG depends on how i am driving. Fun factor of this car is huge. Sticks to the road no issues flying off the line. Hit on ramps for the highway well over 70 and stuck.

Pros: Beautiful

Cons: Nothing

Great Car, But A Little To, "family Friendly" For Me. — Acceleration- 3.1L in town its a fun car, out on the open road its a wimp. the 3.8L however is fun and gives you some rush when you put the "pedal to the metal" Handling- low center of gravity gives it greater cornering, but raises concerns about bottoming out. Breaking- Is excelent if you looking for a safe quick response car, then you've found it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Safe, Great MPG, Fun in-town car.

Cons: Acceleration(3.1L), some models have been known to catch fire, Rare!

Pontiac's Best Sports Coupe Is A Cra For All Seasons —

This is a sweet car. It has a full load and the 3.8 L motor delivers great performance with good fuel economy. The only thing that would make this car better is the availabilty of a manual transmission. The car has a good ride and decent handling and a cavernous rear seat is it has a wheel base that is common with the four door. We like the styling. We bought the car used in the spring of 2010 with 80,000 miles on the odometer. We had to do some work to the car (typical maintenance) shocks - front end parts, brakes tune up etc. and now it runs great. We did have some hot start issues which were cured with three things. New ignition coils, new crank and cam shaft sensor and a new fuel pump. Lets face it the car is 10 years old and lightly used when we bought it so we are not upset about that. 2010 has been a scorcher heat wave here in New England and since we had the repairs completed, the hot start issues have vanished. The shade tree mechanic may find the rear spark plugs along the fire wall tough to change. We accessed ours from the bottom of the car while it was on jack stands. We installed iridum plugs so that will not be a problem for 75,000 miles or so. Even replacing a serpentine belt replacement is a major event as we had to remove the coolant over flow tank to get the required clearance. This car is a hoot to drive and the factory installed bose sound is decent with the heads up speedomoter being positively space age. The rear control arms on the suspension were also replaced. We dumped the lousy u shaped GM arm for a box section arm from rock auto. The design detail on this car is impressive. (Makes me wonder why they killed Pontiac)I like the top engine braces and the cross members in the engine bay. GM obviously made this car to perform and it does not disappoint. The exhaust note is symphoney like and the power steering gives enough boost but not too much as you see in some cars. (nice to feel connected to the road). The rear end stying with the spoiler is tasteful and there is minimal torque steer. I am hopeful that the traction control combined with dedicated snow tires will make this a gem in winter as well. I will post another review once the snow flies. Trunk space is decent and the rear center arm rest allows access to the truck. My sons friend summed up the back seat accomodation this way "I love sitting in the back seat as it has bucket seats". Not exactly how I might describe them but they look comfortable.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great Used Car Buy

Cons: May be tough to find one that has not been thrashed

This Car Will Last Forever And Run Until The Wheels Fall Off. — This car has enough space to seat the whole family, and enough power to get them where they need to go without getting you the one finger salute. Plenty of get up, but the supercharged version is even faster than the GT.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Built to last.

Cons: Plastic intake manifold
