Faster Than The Solar Eclipse — Car fits me well. Black like the night. Quick and lightning. Planning on adding more to it (engine wise). Black on black. "Cops can't get me!" I'm just filling in the number of words with rediculous words and yeah. Just done. Pros: Fast, Gorgeous, and Delicious Cons: Gas lol |

A Good Start To A Passionate Love For Cars — The Mitsubishi Eclipse 2000 GT Sporty is a car I take pride in owning. The car holds a very specific job and it is for people who know what they want. It is a very small car and it seats about two people and maybe a half of a person if you were to cut off their arms and legs and head. It is undoubtedly a good looking car with a fairly nice interior. Problems I have seen include slow window motors, a slow or sticking sunroof, a dysfunctional horn, and a slow electric seat. I have had no problems with the stock 4-disc CD changer. The sound system is mediocre and requires upgrade to be anything worth talking about. The biggest disappointment is the engine. The engine in the Eclipse is a 3.0L V6 SOHC formally called the 6G72. Power output for one of these puppies in an Sporty averages around 160 at this time. The car isn't a dog, but it sure isn't going to give you the tingle you get from a V8. The other big letdown this car provides is a reputation for yielding very bad gains from modifications. Don't expect to buy this car and turn it into a 13 second car with anything but 10 grand. On the upside, when Mitsubishi made the 6G72, they made one Hell of an engine as far as endurance goes. These engines are the same ones we see in the old 96 Caravans that last FOREVER. Pros: Looks, fun to drive, easy to maintain, lovely V6 exhaust note. Cons: Sound system, bad gains, overrated power |

3 Owners — Performance- decsent acceleration, good braking, good handling Build Quality- had alot of mechanical repairs Appearance-HID Lights Cost of Ownership- 122000 miles, about three major repairs Very fun car to drive, if I had the option of choosing a car again it would not be the same one, to many problems. Pros: performance, appearance Cons: mechanical problems |

2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gt — The car has never given me problems and I drove about 20,000 miles last year in it, and now has 123k miles. solid buildt great car. the performance is alright it does 0-60 in 7.9 sec. pulls great in first gear, awful in second. the tiptronic that comes with the GT eclipse is fun and addictive. Suprisingly this 2 door coupe has a massive amount of room in the trunk, when you lay down the 2 back setats which is no hassle at all you can fit 2 bicycles, or all the crap that you can possibly bring to your college dorm. There is just one negative point that I can make and that is the choice of mitsubishi to go with FWD instead of RWD or AWD. but you can't have everything in life Pros: performance, Reliability, Fun, Space Cons: FWD, |

Best Sports Car! — I have owned many cars, and this one is STILL on my mind! It was great in the snow and ice (apart from the fact that it is low to the ground). It was fun, fast, and sporty. I always got compliments on mine while sitting at a red light. I miss my old Eclipse! It was definitely one of the best cars I have ever had. However, my only complaint was the interior fabric, it was almost velvety and I am not a fan of that kind of fabric, I should've gotten leather! Pros: Fun, fast, sporty, good in the Winter weather! Cons: The interior fabric |

My Whip — It runs pretty good. Decently quick and gets me in trouble lol. Has some aftermarket accessories but has plenty of room for improvement and is a good platform to build on. Basically, its just a fun car to ride around in and comfortable to drive. Not the greatest in town but most people seem to like it. Pros: Very comfortable to drive Cons: Parts are very expensive |

Sexy Beast — interior is nice for a cloth setup. Modified stereo and racing harnesses go a long way to driver enjoyment. nice sounding with aftermarket exhaust. all around a decent ride for a 4 cylinder thats almost a decade old. Pros: good styling cues, decent power for a 4 cylinder, fuel economy Cons: heavy, pushes out in a corner |

Now Thats More Like It — This was a great carfun to drive. It was a great gas saver, while having that sporty styling. Interior was streamline, had a descent sound system. I bought this from my mom when she payed it off. It had a nice big dent in the rear fender, but I took it to Maaco and had it banged out and painted. I had it about a year before I traded it in for the beauty I have now the new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS!!!!!!!!!! YEAH BABY Pros: Was a great car, fast, nimble, and economical Cons: The back seats were super crammed |

Cheap Alternative To A Porsche — I bought this in Dec of 2003 and tinted the windows, added the fin, and the rims. For only having a V6 this thing hauls. I had to be careful starting out or the torque would chirp the tires. It could hold it's own to most vehicles around, and it seemed like everyone tried to race me at stoplights, even mini-vans. Too bad the guy I sold it to totaled it just a couple of months after buying it. Pros: Impressive power! Gas mileage (29 mpg highway) looks, price, and that wonderful deep sound that comes out of the stock exhaust Cons: Turning radius was large. Lots of blind spots. Repairs. |

Awesome — Very beautiful car backed with a great overall performance and great reliability. Has never left me stranded on the side of the road. Has power when needed and does pretty well on gas for a V6. Pros: Great looks and reliability. Cons: GT models require premium gas. Some problems with visibility from behind because of spoiler and c pillar is the the way. Nobody can fit in the back. |
