2000 Mercury Sable LS Premium Wagon FWDReview

2000 Mercury Sable, Ls Wagon Premium, 24 Valve Dohc, 5-sp Auto — Wonderful value family car or commuting car. I am selling my truck to make this car my daily drive. I bought the wagon so I can throw stuff in the back like I would my truck. What I can't fit in the back I'll throw in a utility trailer that I'll haul behind the wagon. This is one of the last remaining rear facing seat wagons. The only manufacturer still making REAL wagons (meaning there is a matching sedan) with 3rd row seats that are rear facing is the mercedes E class. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great Car Cons: Mostly unattractive, soft handling, numb handling feedback |

Really Nice Car — This is a fun car to drive. I love the sun/moon roof and look of the car. The color took a while to warm up to but thats just me. It has a lot of pep and power. It is a pretty ecconomical car to drive. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Has Pep and good handling Cons: Cost of Maintenance (11yrs old) |

A Very Competent All-arounder, With Emphasis On Luxury — Compared to my previous car, this is a gem. Very spacious inside, with a lot of top-end goodies, like leather seating, 6-disc CD changer, power-adjustable pedals, automatic thermostat-style AC, nice alloy wheels, automatic headlights, and the best V6 offered for this model at the time. It is reasonably quick, but not sporty; however, it does handle well for a car of its size; much more confidence-inspiring through the twisties than my previous Saturn SL. Despite a somewhat anonymous appearance, I can't help but kind of like the appearance on the outside. The 2-tone dash is a nice touch on the inside. Cost of ownership has been reasonably low so far since I purchased it in April 2010. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Good-sized; carries up to 5 passengers comfortably; very good trunk/cargo capacity; strong 24V V6 Cons: Not particularly sporty; no heated seats; I don't like the column shifter |

Out Of 4 Stars I Give It A 1.5 — My car is a P.O.S. It is good for getting me two and from work is all. It doesn't have a lot of cargo space, It doesn't look cool, it doesn't drive fast, and women don't like it. it looks like an old person car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It's a safety cage with wheels, good gas mileage Cons: It doesn't attract women in the least |

Awesome — very nice acceleration and awesome handling. Brakes kind of need some help but they do their job. nice interior with $500 sound system. It's a fun car to drive. Really fun to drive around sharp turns and curvy roads. pretty fast for a used car and no cruise control. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Fun around sharp turns Cons: HOT in summer |

Fun — fun factor - it has some power under the hood with the v6 if only the rev limiter did kick in so often. Also very fun in the snow for snow drifting although if you are in the south you would have no idea the fun that snow drifting is :D Pros: fast and fun Cons: needs a new steering rack |

Good Car For Road Trips. — Had it for about five years, driven it at least half way across the country multiple times and still enjoy driving it. Pros: It's comfortable and rides pretty smoothly. Cons: It could get better gas mileage. |
