Excursion was shiny, clean & seemed price right without the knowledge of snything wrong with it. Excursion being the biggest truck on the matket really doesnt have anything to compare it to since we already had owned 1 before & owned a Suburban.

Incredibly Spacious With Tons Of Storage Room! — Best family vehicle we have ever owned! Tons of storage. Comfortably seats 8 adults with good leg room (even in the 3rd row). Separate rear heating and air conditioning. Powerful V-10 engine for quick acceleration. Fun to drive. MPG is only 11-12, but gas was only 99 cents/gallon when we bought it! We owned one for 13 years. We wish they still made them so we could buy another one!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Tons of storage. Comfortably seats 8 adults with good leg room (even in the 3rd row). Separate rear heating and air conditioning. Powerful V-10 engine.

Cons: Fuel Economy. Electrical Quirks.

Beast — Wish I could afford to buy a newer vehicle. Besides being big enough to hold my family, it drains our family's funds but we have to have it to get around without taking two other smaller vehicles. The big engine sucks gas and costs an arm and a leg to maintain.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Holds my large family

Cons: Old Truck. Costs alot to maintain. Gas Hog

Worth Every Penny! — the 5.4 liter...has blown three plugs....found out its very common...But ford wont recall this engine cause it is in millions of cars....there are even websites griping about this issue... i love this truck but DO NOT BUY THE 5.4.....this truck is STILL worth every penny.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: very durable

Cons: 5.4 engine blows plugs.....plugs have less threads than ANY other truck....not made incorrectly but vibrations loosen them.

It's Awesome — The ultimate SUV with the ultimate engine and transmission. With this combo, it gets over 20 mpg and can still tow like a truck. The 12V cummins is the most simple and reliable engine available for light trucks. Some upgrades are needed to make this SUV completely bulletproof.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Room for the whole family and our dogs while still pulling our trailer.

Cons: Needs a few upgrades to be perfect out of the box.

I Love My Excursion. So Much So, That If I Don't Sell It.. I'm Completely Happy Keeping It Forever. — The only thing I don't like about this truck is it is very hard reaching the back spark plugs.. the engine is HUGE and goes on forever Ü. Can haul anything, anywhere... As a basketball coach and a boater - I've had no problems carrying things .

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very reliable, very big, very strong.. everything you want and expect from the largest suv in the market.

Cons: If you are even looking at this beast, fuel consumption shouldn't be an issue.
