2000 S10 — This is my fathers truck, its slow as balls since he has a 2.2l 4 banger model. Looks pretty cool for a small truck in my opinion. It would be great if it had more power and reliability

Pros: Looks cool, Handles alright for a truck, decent stock stereo (amazingly) Ice cold A/C,

Cons: SLOW! The truck is underpowered if equipped with the 2.2l engine, they should of put a turbo diesel in it instead would of at least had the torque of a v6 or better and perhaps more hp too. The Automatic transmission in it is dieing... Fuel pump died, water pump started leaking, seat adjustment lever broke off...

Solid Truck, Nice Looks — Love this little truck, good-looking and handles great (got the low-slung one w/fat tires) Needs more power but since my son drives it now I am good with the power. Engine sounds like it is really moving when you punch it but, no, its not.

Pros: handling, reliability, mileage

Cons: I4 engine a little weak.

My First Car — I wish I still had this truck, but since I moved away it was given to a family member who needed a car more than me.

Pros: Haul stuff, pick up a lot of friends, a/c, reliable for the most part

Cons: broken 3rd door handle, seat does not recline, not a fast vehicle

Great Little Truck, Good Bang For The Buck With A Few Mods. — I bought it as a right off, and did a frame off resto / custom build. The truck was fast and loud. It was a great toy, and a reliable daily driver.

Pros: With the mods it handled like a sports car, but I could haul stuff!

Cons: Hard to get power out of with limited aftermarket performance parts.

Good Truck, Did What It Did. — Saw this truck at a car lot right after I graduated high school and just had to buy it. Truck was solid, and I really liked it but mechanical issues like injectors failing, abs module failing, and random crap I didnt want to pay for made me sell it.

Pros: Fun truck, good styling, strong engine.

Cons: Squeaky interior, random mechanical issues.

Easy On Gas. — Truck I settled on when I wanted a truck. Could not afford full size at the time. Pewter color which was nice, did not show dirt easily. Had a 4 cylinder engine so did not like the acceleration too much. Interior a little cramped, but was good for just me. Very clean truck. Backed into my ex-boyfriend's truck with it, making a huge dent in the tailgate, no damage at all to his truck. Whoops.

Pros: Good on gas

Cons: 4 cylinder

Little Pitbull — In the ZR2 model this is really only a 2 person truck (the jump seat is uncomfortable for long rides). Affordable and drives amazing with the Bilstein Shocks. Even after 15 years the styling in the ZR2 model looks mean and still gets compliments.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Awesome Cool Looking Truck in the ZR2 package. Snow/Ice are nothing in this truck

Cons: 4.3 with only 190 hp... Its not under powered but its not fast

A Good Truck With Good Fuel Efficiency And Looks — This is a very nice looking truck. It is very well made and feels as if it will last forever, the one I have has already exceeded 350,000 miles, and it's a moderately modified 4-cylinder engine, not the v6, which will last even longer. At this point there is a little surface rust showing in the bed but it is otherwise intact and runs as good as ever. The trucks only flaw is that it has absolutely terrible performance. Even with all the mods I made to my truck (Air intake, chip, header, exhaust, TB spacer, electric fan, under drive pulley kit, 180 degree thermostat, limited slip rear end with deeper gear ratio), the truck was still was dog slow. However, with the aid of a lowering kit, traction bars, and some polyurethane bushings, the truck handled surprisingly well.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: good looks, reliable, affordable, fuel efficient

Cons: slow
