Great Vehicle — I'm a Toyota guy. I've owned lots of makes and models of cars, but nothing has been as reliable as my Toyotas. The 4Runner is no exception. It has over 150,000 miles and still performs like a new one. It's a great vehicle.

Pros: Dependable, comfortable, powerful and roomy - looks sharp

Cons: Not as good mpg as my Camry, but not bad for an SUV, I average around 22-24 mpg.

First Car I Ever Drove. — I had it in high school and 1 year of college. Had some suspension issues but it was otherwise VERY reliable. Somewhat rough riding, we occasionally called it the potato wagon... never really bothered me.

Pros: Reliability, room for stuff, looked good

Cons: the suspension fix was expensive, rides like a truck

Dependable, Well Built, Goes Anywhere — Vehicle was powerful before the 90,000 mile service. It drives through deep snow, wet or powder, without any hesitation. Highway riding is comftable with the right tires. I like a dependable vehicle and this Toyota is built well.

Owner for 5 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:10,000

Cons: high step to get into the driver`s seat

Good To Go!! — Great deal for my funds. I bought it from a great friend, and he rebuilt it professsionaly. Hasn't missed a lick. Thermostat may be going out soon (got one for $10, with gasket), and sensor for back window are my only current issues. I love it !!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Most Everything.

Cons: I have drivin this Beast through hundreds of miles of terrian,. It hasn't missed a beat. The Kids love riding in it too!!

This rig has it all, comfort and probably one of the best 4 whee drive systems for that time. I have had many suvs (including JKs) that were not even close to the comfort and surefooted prowess that this 4runner has.

"V8 vs V6"
Looks/Style Ranked 1999 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD worse.
"Body lines on both are similar but the roofline on the Durango was odd as it raised going back so aftermarket racks did not fit and no sunroof available until the pregnant model showed up in later years."
