Fast — Very Fast, very fun when the turbo's spun up, but turbo lag is a bit of an annoyance, feels very safe and solid

Pros: Stereo, acceleration, braking

Cons: turbo lag

Awesome Sport Wagon, Questionable Build Quality — I'd imagine these cars are NOT for people who drive cars that are 10 years old. Probably best as brand new, dealer-maintained cars. Although I love the acceleration, braking and handling, and overall highway comfort at crusing speeds, this car breaks alot. I've had to do multiple repair jobs on tons of secondary components (A/C, Door Controls, Emmissions Systems) but the drivetrain has been solid. Parts are hard to get, expensive, and difficult to install. Not a great car to work on.

Pros: Awesome handling, ride at highway speeds

Cons: Breaks down, expensive and tough to fix

Classic Iconic Image Of Soccer Mom Vehicle — The naturally aspirated 5-cylinder engine is the lowest trim line available on the V70s. Standard features include power windows/ door locks, ABS, FWD, keyless entry, and the softest fabric seats ever. The CD player was an add-on option. For a baseline trim vehicle, the V70 has been more pratical and useful than most cars out in the market. With cargo-capacity equal to that of average SUVs and the fuel economy of the average sedan, the V70 makes a wonderful daily driver/grocery getter. The V70 is offered in a variety of trim to suit various life-styles. GLT, T-5, and the R. The GLT is offered with a low-pressure turbo, the T-5 with a high-pressure turbo, and the R; high-pressure turbo along with AWD. There is also the XC70 (a crossover sport utility wagon), which uses the low-pressure varient of the 5-cylinder engines.

Pros: Reliable platform to support just about any kind of life style.

Cons: NA offers little power and no AWD.

Comfortable And Practical — A very smooth and quiet car, you can fit a whole mass of things in it, or transport 4 or 5 adults in fairly luxurious style! Very nice 5 cylinder engines, but long gear ratios mean relaxed cruising at the expense of acceleration. Brakes are awesome, it's not so keen on the corners especially at low speed, quite stable at high speed cornering though.

Pros: Huge, comfortable, all the toys, 94000 miles and only one fault so far

Cons: A bit sluggish sometimes, less than stellar cornering, common fault with air con means mine has packed up. A little thirsty but good for its size.

After Two Years Of Nagging Repairs Eight Years Of Very Good Transportation — We have a little over 100000 miles now and my wife and I still enjoy the car. Dreading when the time comes to replace it. We have had absolutely no problems in the last eight years. Last month some one ran into our driver side door and did rather minor damage, but this week we can no longer open the gas cap cover. shouldn't there be an emergency fix?

Mafia Staff Car! — Sleek low-profile appearance, very tight construction; feels very safe. Turbo makes the car very quick off the line. The motor requires full synthetic oil so it is more expensive at the point of oil changes. The car has great equipment.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This car looks good, drives great and is highly reliable

Cons: Not the best gas mileage (around 19 mpg).

You better be able to do repairs if you buy one of these. The non-turbo has very little power around town but does well enough on the highway. That being said, we love ours and use it only for long drives or trips to the lumber yard. Also works great for taking a dog along with you. Good gas mileage on the gighway and has a smooth quiet ride
