98 Sunfire Review — The engine is ok, got a v6 and its standard. Some little things are irritating for example the engine fan doesnt kick in until it is at about 260 F so it runs close to overheating in the summer unless you keep on the AC. Other then that it is an ok car because it is cheap, cheap on gas, and is decently fast, enough for cruising around traffic.

Pros: Gas Mileage, overall cost.

Cons: Some manufaturer's defects, and breakable interior.

Don't Recommend Buying/leasing This Type Of Car... — This car is HORRIBLE! Every few months we're having to take it in for some type of work costing us anywhere between $25 to $250 a pop! I know it's 10 years old, but come on! My 1989 Mustang was in MUCH better shape. They just don't make cars like they used to.

Pros: Somehow it's still managing to run?

Cons: Spark Plugs Keep popping out, tail pipe keeps needing to be strapped up, doors won't close, hinges have problems, needs a brand new header on it, engine makes a strange noise every time you turn on the heater/AC, radio hasn't displayed the time in YEARS, and the mileage goes blank every now and then.

Pontiac Sunfire — It had to maney dents when I got it had some rust not much it was all stock but I always kept it clean inside and outside right door did not open drivers window did not open hood did not latch all the way but it jumped off the start fast for a stock car

Pros: FAST AND LASTS if taken care of properly

Cons: if newer cant get better

My Car — I really like my car but i wish it had more power and that the gas mileage would be a bit better. It needs some body damage repaired. People keep rubbing up against it with their cars in the parking lot lol. The interior is roomy but I wish it was set up a little bit better.

Pros: Quick, sleek

Cons: Needs more power, better fuel economy

My Little Red Car — I love my little red car! I am so happy with it best purcchase I ever made. It's been dependable, its peppy, loves to get up & go& it's good on gas! I love driving my little sunfire.Never owned a Pontiac product before this but I am happy with it.Would seriously consider buying another one or maybe the G6 since they no longer make Sunfires.

Pros: cute fast good on gas

Cons: not a big block

??? — It's a cute little car, powder blue, small. It's old, but it runs and I love it. Just got the AC fixed, yah! It has a dent, but it gives the car character XD. It runs okay, I suppose, it takes a while to get it going, and I have to push harder on the brake/accelerator than in my mom's car. But it's my car and I love it.

Pros: It runs and it was free. XP

Cons: Takes a while to get fast, have to push hard on brake/accellerator

'98 Pontiac Sunfire (fuel Saver) — It's a pretty good car. The engine has nearly 200,000 miles on it and no issues. Doesn't leak, doesn't smoke, doesn't burn oil, doesn't burn antifreeze, nothing.I manage to get an average of 32mpg (hwy and city combined) in the summer and about 30mpg in the winter (which is quite lovely considering fuel prices). A couple problems are that the a/c doesn't work, and the passenger door locking mechanism makes entry difficult. I had to replace the manual transmission in it because some yahoo overtightened a bolt to the transmission, which cracked the case and cause it to leak out all of it's lubricant. Which of course I didn't realize and I drove it around probably the entire time I owned it (prior to break down) without any lubricant in the gearbox. Just know this. American cars are just as reliable as foreign cars. You just have to make sure they were taken care of properly when you purchase them

Pros: Great mpg, manual trans., durable, decent leg room in back seats.

Cons: Slight interior quality whoahs..... that's pretty much it.
