1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSReview

Lots Of Potential. — I loved this car while I had it. I had big plans for it. There are literally millions of aftermarket parts for this car. Performance was a little weak though, but with modding, it could've been pretty good. Pros: Tons of aftermarket options. Great gas mileage. Good handling. Cons: Low clearance scratches on every bumb and driveway. Pretty slow. |

Decent Car. — This car has a 2.0L 4 cyl. engine so your not gonna take it to the track. but it is rather quick simply because its small. It handles quite well for that reason as well. It does not have the best build quality. Every month another repair needs to be made. Appearance is this car's best quality. It looks fun and sporty and is easily customizable. cost of ownership is not the greatest. frequent repairs make it quite costly. It is a very fun car to drive though. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Looks and runs good. Cons: Not good build quality. |

Gssex — the car is very fun to drive an parts are pretty common. cost of owership an gas millage are awesome. some upgrades it needed was new turbo an intercooler an intercooler piping. exhasut was really holding back the cars performance. Its factory Awd makes its accelaration awesome. the poorest things about the car now are the brakes which could use some upgrades as these cars fly with very little upgrades done. Also most find these car very apealing visually so far im happy with it Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: it scoots Cons: the car is so low i have to take it slow over bump, rr tracks etc. also could use some better brakes |

If You Buy A 2g, Immediately Switch Turbos And If You Want A More Reliable Car, Get A 6bolt From A 1 — love the car, it handles great, it has plenty of power and torque, enough to cause torque steer on hard launches, it's really fun to drive, as long as the turbo holds together!!! get an upgraded turbo and ditch that stock Garrett T-25 for something better and you'll have a great car =) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: really fun to drive, puts a smile on your face Cons: 7 bolt blocks have crankwalk issues and the stock turbo tends to blow bearings easily |
